I remember she used to buy the dumpling skins/wrappers from the store, but started making her own after a while to feel better about having no weird preservatives. She also uses ground pork in her dunplings, but occasionally uses ground beef or turkey too. The same goes for her baozi. I'm proud of my Chinese heritage!

2:04 in India we " Bangali" called that dumpling " Garhgarhe Pithha" ...My grandma always makes it ( but mostly in the time of festival ) ..And we make it with many other ingredients ( like sesame ,calcine milk , Daal , coconut sometimes with Coco aslo ) .. it's so tasty 🤤🙂
Last one looked very good, in my country we make sweet dumplings filled with different kinds of fruits just like the last one, except we dont use potato dumplings, we keep that for savory food. Apricot, strawberry, plum and forest berries are some of the most popular sweet dumpling fillings. It's usually served with melted butter poured on it and sweet quark/curd cheese (literally just plain quark/curd cheese and add confectioners sugar until sweet to your liking)

We make something like this in Iran Its called pirashki Its made mostly using some kind of meat (most of the times cow , sheep and chicken meat ) with spices and veggies We put it in dough and fry it Its pretty yummy The dough mostly looks like this : 0:28 but its bigger It can also not look like that at times and just be basic but around where I live we make it like that

If you think of dumpling, you know it as steamed dumpling. It's like seeing new food. I may look young, but the first food is I will try making it at home. I love crunchy.
I made the soup dumplings! Super good but also SUPER difficult. If your a beginner to to to dumplings I would not recommend. I think they key is not fill your wrapper too much and make sure the dumplings don’t stick when your steaming them :)

I really liked the first 4 recipes, the last , apricot not so much. These are Japanese based dumplings & are very good, but my fave are Korean dumplings steamed in stacked bamboo basket containers & i really like the dumplings loaded with broth as they are delicious. Plus my 2 fave sides with dumplings are Korean heavily fermented Kim-Chi & steamed rice, so, so, delicious. When you bite into a Korean pork mixture with a lot of broth dumpling it is an explosion of flavor, just absolutely delicious.
Tasty Vids ain’t the most trustworthy channel to watch. They don’t list proper measurements and have been proven to be completely false in some videos. (Look up. ‘How to cook that’, she goes over these videos better than I ever could.) Take my advice, there’s a bunch of other channels you can try. I would recommend Binging with Babish (Makes food from media), You Suck At Cooking (Comedic cooking channel), First We Feast (host of Hot Ones and other food related videos.), How to Cook That (Baking channel for viral videos and general baking crafts), or Gordon Ramsay’s channel. (Arguably the most famous chef in the world.)
I made my first gyoza today (btw the first time I have ever tried gyoza ) and had to make the skin from scratch cause we don't have those premade ones. And tbh the skin ( dough ) didn't cook well lol it was undercooked cause I made them a bit too thick so yeah that's this 😭😭. The filling was great though: I put minced lamb meat with minced garlic and dried ginger cause I was too lazy to grate some fresh ones and I also added cabbage and coriander and salt and pepper and some sesame oil and some soy sauce. I am making some again ( the same day btw ) to put them in the freezer and I will try to make them thinner. Yeah so if you have any tips I'd be happy to hear them 🤷🏻♀️.

For the soup dumplings - make sure you use a wide container and make a thin layer of the gelatin soup! Mine took ages to set because I used a bowl

That last one was pretty weird, but looked delicious as well.
It's good. Try the same thing but with strawberries, hard to beat it.

The best and the tasty way to make dumpling is steam it guys rather than boiling it and try it with tomatoes pickle , it really tastes so good.

We usually call soup dumplings 汤包 or 小笼包. I have never heard anyone calling them 汤包子. 包子 is usually used to refer to steamed buns.
They are usually called xiao long bao
小笼包(xiaolongbao) are soup dumplings but 汤圆 are filled with some type of filling and wrapped with a mixture of glutinous rice flour and water.
If you think of dumpling, you know it as steamed dumpling.
