I live in McKean county and I have a creek behind my house that has native trout in. I've caught them over 18" there. I walk the creek in the spring to check the creek for good spots because the creek changes every year because of flooding. There used to be a good little hiding spot for the trout that is inside of a hollow tree that is laying in the creek long wise and it goes up inside the creek bank. The end of the log is down below the surface of the bedrock and surrounded by other logs. But if you slowly work your way up to the log and look down you could see the trout sitting inside the log. But after checking the creek this year I discovered the flood water had filled it the hollow log with rocks. I'm gonna try to remove the rock and restore the spot.
Wow! They are beautiful fish. I live down south where we dont have Brown Trout. What are they eating in those small areas of water to get so big? We have huge lakes and bass fishing down here in Florida and Georgia.
Mepps spinner? I'm new to fishing, trout fishing in particular. Last year I used rooster tails and panther Martin's and had a little bit of success, but I've heard a few times now about how well the mepp works.

Im in NW PA and this fishing is great. It’s all on PUTTING IN THE WORK!!! I love watching these slobs being caught and released. I keep if they swallow the hook only then we eat them.
It’s So funny how some people think apparently that taking photos of fish is going to make them spontaneously explode & most certainly die…..🤦♂️🤷♂️ I take pride in my big fish catches & certainly have respect for these fish but do also like to take a good photo of the big ones, seems like out of 4 or 5 photos you only get one that’s really good, but holding them out of the water for a few seconds per photo then putting them back in the water doesn’t hurt them one bit…. The only time this could ever even be a possibility is if the fish was hooked deep & bleeding or the water temps were north of 65° & I don’t fish when it’s that warm & I try not to even take them out of the water if they’re hooked bad ensuring a quick release! But thank you for the compliment! 👌
Never ceases to amaze me... Even in a 4ft wide Creek.. you still get right in the middle of it.. 🤣 🤣 stay out of the water.. Unless it's necessary. Which is nearly never in a creek like this.
@@chasingthewildwithdustyrho2620 standing in the middle of the creek... You are one of those folks that catches a few fish(in a bathtub sized Creek) and thinks they got it going on.. 🤣 👏 The fish literally cannot leave.
@@emilymiller1853 I’m just trying to figure out your argument here…. The main reason I walk in these small streams is to navigate them since the surrounding terrain is very thick, brushy or inaccessible…… aside from that I fish upstream casting & making my presentations up ahead of me since the fish always are facing upstream…… I never spook them approaching from downstream, even if I’m in the middle of the stream! 🤦♂️😂👌🤙😁

The ones in PA Brotha 👌
Get the hook out sooner dude !
Thanks for the advice 👌🤙 I’m new at this!!!
Are you from Somerset county?
I am not!
@@chasingthewildwithdustyrho2620 My brother has a friend named Dusty Rhoads. What a coincidence!
Can you at least share what state you catching these big ones in tiny streams
All of my videos are from Pennsylvania 👌😊
Im in NW PA and this fishing is great. It’s all on PUTTING IN THE WORK!!! I love watching these slobs being caught and released. I keep if they swallow the hook only then we eat them.
Where was the 26” trout?
PA
Do you eat any of your trout ?
I 100% catch and release all of my wild trout no matter how big…..👌
Great fish but I'm glad to see it got away from you. You had plenty of hero shots. 😅
It’s So funny how some people think apparently that taking photos of fish is going to make them spontaneously explode & most certainly die…..🤦♂️🤷♂️
I take pride in my big fish catches & certainly have respect for these fish but do also like to take a good photo of the big ones, seems like out of 4 or 5 photos you only get one that’s really good, but holding them out of the water for a few seconds per photo then putting them back in the water doesn’t hurt them one bit…. The only time this could ever even be a possibility is if the fish was hooked deep & bleeding or the water temps were north of 65° & I don’t fish when it’s that warm & I try not to even take them out of the water if they’re hooked bad ensuring a quick release! But thank you for the compliment! 👌
was this fall time
April-May
Caught a few 26inch inland browns lots of grinding for them big girls spring is usually when I get mine earlyyyy spring
From Pa, any tips to location...lol
All over the state…. Lol👌
@@chasingthewildwithdustyrho2620 lol.... Sweet spot man! You ever wanna talk about your adventures on our podcasts hit me up. It's a ton of fun
Where your country fishing?
I’m fishing in Pennsylvania in the USA 👌
Never ceases to amaze me... Even in a 4ft wide Creek.. you still get right in the middle of it.. 🤣 🤣 stay out of the water.. Unless it's necessary. Which is nearly never in a creek like this.
Thanks for the tip…… I CLEARLY don’t know what I’m doing……😂👌😂☝️🤣
@@chasingthewildwithdustyrho2620 standing in the middle of the creek... You are one of those folks that catches a few fish(in a bathtub sized Creek) and thinks they got it going on.. 🤣 👏
The fish literally cannot leave.
@@chasingthewildwithdustyrho2620 CLEARLY 🤣 🤣
@@emilymiller1853 I’m just trying to figure out your argument here…. The main reason I walk in these small streams is to navigate them since the surrounding terrain is very thick, brushy or inaccessible…… aside from that I fish upstream casting & making my presentations up ahead of me since the fish always are facing upstream…… I never spook them approaching from downstream, even if I’m in the middle of the stream! 🤦♂️😂👌🤙😁
Where is the place
Pennsylvania 👌
Don't be to excited. I mean look at the tiny stream you caught her in. He'll you could of netted her easily.😂😂😂😂😂
great catch however that was not a 25 inch brown. I know they seem bigger but when you measure it, that was prob 21 or maybe even 20 inches. Great catch
😂😂😂
