That was one of 33 songs in that show. In 2023 they played 77 different songs live, and there were still fan favorites that were not played. After an upcoming acoustic show in a couple weeks, they likely will have played over 55 different songs and 70 different arrangements of songs in the span of three shows. As you can tell their songs aren't simple. The well runs deep with this band.

Akane (the drummer) is probably one of the best rock drummers around today. Just my opinion of course.

That was a really fun response, thank you very much. BAND-MAID's songs are all great. I think it would be a good idea to listen to their instrumental songs first to get an idea of their talent. “From Now On,” “WITHOUT HOLDING BUCK,” and “ON SET (Live)” are especially recommended.

I think I can speak for all us Maidiacs that Akane on drums is not unsung by any of us, but you're absolutely right that it's easy to overlook/overhear how big a part she plays in such musical conversations. ❤🔥

She's a phenomenal drummer.
Welcome back! It's absolute fire and they played it on their 10th Anniversary tour, including Lollapalooza in Chicago. The lyrics were written by the lead singer, Saiki (Sigh-Key). A little context is in order: one of her friends was dumped by a guy during the height of Covid in Japan, and this was her (very) blunt response. Saiki doesn't pull any punches.

Their live performances are called Okyu-ji, which means "Servings", all in line with the Maid Cafe image the Band was built on by founding member Miku Kobato. SAIKI Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “Ice Queen" - Lead vocals, arrangements and melodies. At 27 and the youngest, “Sensei” (Teacher) as band members call her, has the last word on many musical decisions. High-heels or sneakers, Sai-chan’s smile melts away her sometimes perceived, coldish persona. Saiki’s powerhouse performances, charisma, and voice focus the experience that’s driven her to the top echelon of hard rock front women... or front men!
MIKU Kobato (Me-Ku) "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals, lyricist, 29 years old. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR Spokes Pigeon, po! Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room.
KANAMI Tono (Ka-Na-Me) “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, 29 years old, is a prolific writer of most Band-Maid material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want is more!
AKANE Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums, 30 years old, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumZilla” is the Party!
MISA (Me-Sa) "Barefoot Assassin" - Bass, 28 years old. An alluring free spirit driving her 5-string to rapturous low-ends while pulling off surprising counter leads with Kanami, off-stage MISA is the band’s goofball ballerina. Sometimes seen as the Mysterious One because she lets her instrument do the talking, the Assassin literally kills it… every note uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. A slug of JB, a slight grin, and let the slappin’ begin… MISA! MISA! MISA!

Hello, Band-Maid's Hate? live at Lollapalooza Chicago was great, but even more than Lollapalooza, the camera work and sound at Yokohama Arena were the best. And since the venue was huge, it was a great show where you could fully enjoy Kanami and MISA's bold and dynamic performances.

This original video is from BAND-MAID 10TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR FINAL in Yokohama Arena (2023.11.26). I was there. And Asami, Midori and Haruna from LOVEBITES were also there. They were watching from the seats on Kanami's side.
