How to plan, organize and develop a custom Light Installation. Choosing the right light source and protocol. How to set up a Test-Setup and how create interactive content. We also set up a little Test-Environment with a PixelPusher and Custom LED-Strips as well as a DMX-Test-Setup.
This workshop was recorded at TouchDesigner Summit held in Berlin Feb 3-4 2018.

Am I to understand you don't use the Artnet bridge, and instead route from TD to the Processing script via Syphon/Sprout for controlling all of the LEDs instead for performance reasons?

And does sACN work better than Artnet?

I just build this one: czcams.com/video/CBYWb3aHpHw/video.html and map this with touchdesigner, even while im pretty bad at optimization it works great! Feel free to ask if you have any questions :)

I am a big fan of TD, but to be honest this video was very long and had very minimal informations about software and hardware.
I appreciate that the lecturer wanted to share his approach, knowledge (and portfolio), but this was basically 2 hours to connect a constant to a DMX out, and then just glancing over the important Topto CHOP.
Not a single word about Packet per Channel, or Packet per Sample in the dmx out CHOP.
Nothing about sending more than 15 universes, and nothing about the Shuffle CHOP, that to my understanding are crucial for application running lighting and/or a large amount of LED.
There were very little information for a 2h video titled Light Installations with Touch Designer.
Perhaps consider changing the title to "Basic Lighting concepts for Touchdesigner"

some of the topics you mention above are covered in this video czcams.com/video/ShYYcr30vJw/video.html
Be warned, it is also long.
These videos are recorded from the Berlin Summit event so the name corresponds to the workshop that was held there. Attendees could only be in one place at a time so in order for them to find the videos of the classes they missed we left the titles exactly the same. We understand many of these are long format and not great tutorials in video format, its very hard to find a topic in a 2-4 hours video. But regardless we posted the vids as-is so that people could get whatever they can take away from them.

@@TouchDesignerOfficial I found this super helpful and informative and possibly a big money saver as just stepping into the world of these technologies, also interesting to see how to integrate Processing to the workflow, thank you guys.
