- Sara takes us out on her boat for some snorkeling off Islamorada. Lobster were the primary target but we ran into a handful of lionfish and decided to bring both home! John and Charlie both speared lionfish and then I shot my first ever lionfish! The team caught a bunch of Lobster including young Miles first ever! Back at home we cook the lobster and lionfish on the grill and Jamaican Mike makes a special appearance.

Suggestion take the smoker cap/cone off the smoker and get some flexible dryer exhaust hose and extend it above the porch roof. I did that for my Tregger smoker. My smoke alarm has never gone off sence.

Hey Nick! Blue Gabe did a lionfish catch clean cook with some guy that does it a lot. He showed how he skins them fairly easily. Then they battered them and fried them like drum sticks. You should check it out.

When I was young, my mom and dad would not let us go into the water after we had eaten, for at least 30 minutes, it would make you cramp up if you did.
That was debunked years ago. Any strenuous exercise after eating will lead to illness. However the stomach cramp thing is a myth. Probably started by parents who were tired of the stress of watching their kids in the water. 🙄

Talked to a crew that went out off Bahia Honda Bridge. They said a lot of bodies were on the bottom from poaching before mini season.
