- First time I've seen a Performante so couldn't resist having a closer look!
Thanks to the driver for offering me multiple times to pass, however I wanted to keep his cool car in the picture so apologies for staying close!
Full stock GT4. Started the lap on very cold tyres which caused the oversteers at the first corners.

This car handles corners so well, its amazing. What differentiates him as a great driver is that he is not afraid to push the corners and of course has tons of experience, the other drivers panic. It would have been amazing if everyone was at the same level, no offense to the other drivers.
Regardless of the skill of the Lamborghini owner it's always great to see cars of that caliber being brought to the track. Most people don't buy them for that purpose.

haha couldn't agree more! Unfortunately the hobby of trackday driving and being able to afford a car like the Lamborghini doesn't always go hand in hand though. Your car is amazing as well

If someone is trying to let you pass am I not right in thinking you should pass? Instead of putting him under pressure to drive quicker than he is comfortable with. You are clearly a fantastic driver but if I was driving the performante I would be pissed off at you

Definitely was thinking the exact samething. He was being a total Dick because he was in a extremely capable Huracan performante but knew he was an inferior driver.
Yup, for all we know it was the first time out there for the guy in the Performante... Give the guy some room or pass him.

I do not think the Porsche driver was sure the Lambo driver knew how to let someone pass. In every corner that the Porsche driver waited just micro seconds to see if the Lambo was going to keep the outside line he just did close the door on the apex. So the driver of the Porsche was just been careful too. Ok, there was one moment that he could have passed clearly but because there were other cars on that corner he did not press on and because of his waiving the guy by he is listening crap now. Just one little mistake when you are just having fun can make you a bad guy. Jezz! Go there guys and drive...

Driving a GT4 car like this requires a lot of trust in your tires and you judged them exactly right.Amazing lap.
You must have real trust in your brakes to get that close to such an expensive car with your expensive car :-).

You should have passed the lambo when he gave you lots of space many times.
Keep in mind it's not a video game. There was not enough space to pass him. That would have been a stupid move and also for his car...
@@zockerhdgarantiert The Lamborghini was literally trying to get him to pass him. He knew that he did not want the pressure of a better driver on his back even if he was in a faster car. It is completely understandable and the Lambo driver was in the right, the GT4 should have passed when he had the opportunity but for some reason he wanted the Lambo to stay in front of him. It is standard practice on the ring to let faster cars/drivers pass you while you stay right so you don't mess up their lap, and you can drive pressure free.

got to say that a manual is fun, total control and all, but looks archaic and slow on a race track when you're used to a good twin clutch.
I'm still trying to verify, but I think he is using a function called "auto-blip." It seems like the rev-matching is done by the vehicle's computer.
The Performante might be a faster car than the GT4 but you are a far better driver!!!

The automatic rev matching helps a lot too. I personally find it sad that even lobster could drive a stick hard nowadays... I bet you that half of the GT4 owners have never even heard of heel and toe. Anyway, still a nice video, thanks.

I love the respect and courtesy of European drivers. No passing on the right. Turn signals and headlights for acknowledgement of driver's intention. And most importantly, not acting like you own the road, but rather share it. Brilliant!

@kalelwilson8337 wouldn't have mattered in a long race. That gt4 is made to go around that track all day every day without losing any performance. Sooner or later the handling would become an issue and the gt4 would pass and win. Sure it has more power. Put it up next to the gt2 rs and gers smoked right away.

@@patrickcallahan2885 With the track being open to the public you're going to get drivers with different skill levels. So I think it's up to the more seasoned drivers to set an example by being more cautious and courteous around other vehicles than this (I need a good car racing related name to use here but as usual my mind is a blank) guy was.
Indeed i don't even think the lambo driver is racer at all he brakes way to early and performs badly at corners. The driver in the porsche embarasses himself challenging that driver!

You are very skilled driver. But, I think you are very irresponsible. Not everyone in Nordschleife is coming to race to the limits. Even though you know your and your car's limits, this doesn't mean the amount of pressure on the lamborghini driver wouldn't cause a fatal crash. He clearly let you pass because the amount of pressure you apply to him, and -with all kinds of respect- you be an ass to him.
+Your CS Guy I understand your point perfectly but 1) I was very careful and was never close by at very dangerous parts on the track. 2) He gave me space to pass which I kindly refused but he didn't persist, as in really slowing down or indicating to the right which is common on the ring to show; please pass. 3) At the speed we were going he was clearly not unexperienced so he knew the NS well and was up for a friendly pursuit. Greets!

If I could ride snowmobile with gloves I'd do it. I know a guy who takes a good 20 minutes after his IT job everyday getting his gloves and shades and coat all perfect before taking his 15 minute drive home at 30mph in heavy traffic. Anak Usop Ok let me be honest. The Lamborghini is way faster. I would say it’s the drivers difference. The GT4 driver is way better than the Lamborghini driver in this situation.

that lambo really wanted to show off I give him props for trying. I think he knew that you could overtake him anytime if you wanted, maybe that's why he let you pass in the last corner. but he never put the indicators so yea he was driving by he's own will and not force like people say.

Porsches that are mid-engine are the best! I remember when I was 18 with my new 914 racing at Riverside International Speedway. The 911s, even though they were faster on the straightways, could not keep up in the Ss and the turns. They were really squiggly. My current 911 has tons of electronics to help it.
