I have been hooked until finishing the episode.
Its been one of the most fascinating episodes that I have listened to recently.
I adore your skills Luke in managing the interview, recapping some key aspects, articulating and removing any potential ambiguity.
The talks on Jaffa cake and the dead snail were marvellous.
Your guest has done an amazing job, provided thoughtful clarifications from legal perspectives.
I would appreciate if you could have her/you or even your loyal followers share with us recommended dramas in which legal issues and language are significantly portrayed.
Thanks and have a nice day.

Congrats on this great episode, really compelling, although I'm not very familiar with legal jargon in general. I struggled a little bit to wrap my head around the part about the concept of 'consideration'. I particularly liked both the story of the lady who found the snake in her ginger beer and the court case to rule whether Jaffa Cakes are cakes indeed or just luxury cookies/biscuits. Thanks a lot, Luke! :-)

Very interesting. I think it’s worth pointing out that the point of consideration is to differentiate a one sided promise from a legally binding contract. Just because someone promises something doesn’t make it a contract.

Hi, Luke! Thank you for you podcast, it’s very interesting and also informative in a lot of ways!
As we touch the legal subject in this episode, I wanted to ask you to share with your audience things that happen in Russia right now. I feel like not many people outside the CIS know about what’s happening. There are peaceful meetings in support of Navalny (you might hear about him) and other political prisoners, but the government acting really rougs - there’s been about 4000 detanees in only a week. There is no enough space in police departments, so people are forced to spend hours in police cars without food and water. Non profit organization “OVD info” is trying to help everyone, provide them with lawyers etc., but they don’t have enough resources. Anyone can help by donating to them (just google ovd info, all info is on their web site).
We are scared and suffocating, please help spread the information❤️

"they don't have enough recourses ", really ?
As navalny was housed in the luxurious setting in Germany?!

Thank you for an episode,it was quite unusually and particularly curious to listining this topic . Honestly speaking I am little but didn't get the and of the case about snail inside the costume's bottle . I've got a question, the person who was drinking the bear with a snail is this person got some money in turms of moral compensation ? From my point of view the costumer who did drink from this bottle should have been get some money for this incident . I think someone should to be panish for this wierd case (,not poor snail of course 😄😄😄) .do not know , what do you think gues ?
    Even consider the fact that
The bottom of bottle was invisible, im still stick to the point that this person should have been get at least some money . I think that if look at this case more carefully it is more than posoble to prove that costumer as a victim a d company need to pay for this.
Do not you think that this place, where this bear was pouring wasn't enough appropriate , because how it is posoble , this place where the bear was pouring in the bottles suppose to be checked properly
