Beautiful STRESA / Lake Maggiore / Italy (4K)

This video presents beautiful Stresa, a town on the spectacular Lake Maggiore (Lago Maggiore) in Northern Italy. The city lies about an hour train ride from Milan and one hour drive from the border with Switzerland. Stresa is the main Italian town on Lake Maggiore and serves as a base and starting point to your journey along the beautiful lake known for its glamour and breathtaking scenery.
Stresa is much related to the Borromeo family - wealthy aristocrats who built in the 16th century stunning palaces with ornamental gardens in the nearby Borromean Islands.
The main attractions you will see in the city are: the elegant lakeside promenade lined with opulent Art Nouveau hotels and a public beach; Piazza Cadorna - city's social hub with many restaurants; Park Villa Pallavicino with its beautiful botanical garden and zoo, and of course the Borromean Islands that overlook Stresa and are just minutes away by boat.
