  • As the title suggests, this video sees 1ntern do a deep dive into the 2007 World Champion’s two year stint as a driver in the World Rally Championship. Kimi saw highs and lows much of which isn’t we’ll known to most F1 fans! Enjoy!

    Funny story Lindström actually agreed to be Kimi's co-driver in sauna during the 2005 Rally Finland

    Great video! Was always curious about how Kimi did when rallying, I've seen videos about his NASCAR career but not many are about his rallying days (despite always hearing it mentioned). Thanks for filling me in on this part of the legend of Kimi!

    Honestly wished he and McLaren struck up a deal for 2010 and 2011. WRC was just a hobby for Kimi

    No F1 driver could do what he did.
    He jumped into WRC with 0 experience.
    He finished higher than Kubica did both years too, despite Kubica having years of WRC2 experience.

      Indeed, P5 as a career high is no joke especially as a rookie. Hope you enjoyed the vid!

      Well, Kubica won the first WRC2 season in his rally career so dont understand the comparison.

    • @ciaronsmith4995
      @ciaronsmith4995 Před 7 měsíci +2

      WRC2 is not WRC. WRC is much tougher. And Kubica was slow in WRC with all the prep he had. Kimi is on another level.@@galahad-history

      @@ciaronsmith4995 Still Kubica finished higher plenty of times than Kimi both in WRC and WRC2. In WRC Kubica often scored podium stage times, sometimes even winning like in Monte Carlo. The problem was he was like Colin McRae and crashed a lot being too fast for comfort. Also winning WRC2 in a worse, slower RRC car in a non-factory team is also a pretty chad thing almost nobody achieved. Won't even mention his WRC2 positions were competitive with WRC ones. In a car slow even for WRC2 standards! And also won't even mention one of his hands not working properly after an awful rally crash. He was the biggest rally chad I know.

      @@galahad-history Kimi never even competed in WRC-2 and Kimi scored more points in a season in both his WRC seasons than Kubica. Kimi scored 25 points in 2010 and 34 in 2011. Kubica scored 18, 14 and 11 from 2013-2015. Kimi scored 59 points in 21 rallies. Kubica only scored 43 in 33. No matter how you look at it, Kubica was more prepared but achieved less than Kimi.
