These flowers are Lilacs - tree flowers. I grew up in Saratoga Springs, New York & there were a lot of these lilac trees on the streets of our home town .
For me as a Brit 🇬🇧 seeing your vast and beautiful land and creatures and sky and just everything makes me want to be there living in a cabin in peace in unspoiled beauty as our countryside is so fast disappearing xx❤
We feel fortunate to have this wonderful opportunity. The tranquility of the remote wilderness is a such wonderful place to live. We are working hard to build a homestead ourselves, in a self-reliant manner. We are a terrific team, and this experience has been a great blessing for the both of us.
This video reminded me of an expensive lesson I learned years ago. I learned the hard way to unplug the trailer lights from the tow vehicle when backing it into the water because all of the trailer lights were not completely sealed and waterproof. The brake lights shorted out and back-fed through the connection causing major electrical problems in my pickup. I hope you will consider this the next time you launch any kind of watercraft.
Good morning! Oh boy! You are wonderful at reminding us of the important things to consider. Thank you for that! Yet another thing to be mindful of. We really appreciate your comments. We are getting ready to 'drop' another episode this morning... Stay tuned!
LILACS!!!!! One of my favourite flowers and definitely my dad’s favourite. He has lilac bushes planted all around the house back home. One of my past apartments had lilacs all around the block, making walks during that time of year very enjoyable
We always have hiccups. Beautiful area😊. Love seeing the wild animals. We not have moose or elk in th southwestern part of Wisconsin. Or as many lakes. Thanks for sharing.
Yes, life does present its little challenges at times... and we expect many more to come as we continue on this adventure of ours. Besides, such things make you stronger, right? And navigating through adversity is character building! Thanks for watching! -Ryan
Thank you so much! Opal is a bit naughty but very sweet overall, Ryan loves her but the feelings don't always appear to be mutual... Depending on the day of course 😃
Some animals may not live on the island all the time but they can come there. Bears can swim, so can wild cats, coyotes & wolves as well. So you may get many visitors. Thanks for bringing us along! Great channel! 😊
Thank you for watching! Oh yes, we are pretty sure they venture over occasionally but we were told that it might be more likely that it's the female moose that are about to give birth to protect their young. We found one very old skeleton. Thankfully we don't have the wildcats up north here and I think it might be a real hassle for the bears to come across when their stores are so lush in the wilderness on the shore l. Much less on the island and I think the people sounds annoy them. They also have a nice area that they like, down quite a ways by a creek where the fish come in. 💚
I loved the footage of the moose! We have a lot of moose here in Maine. This barge is huge! I can't imagine having to tow it on a trailer. 😳. I can't wait to see what happens next! 👍
Your like me NERVOUS LAUGHTER IS the only way for me also !!! That is something else right there !!! I am thinking how is the barge going to get on to that trailer??? Will it Tip it over or the top of the Truck come UP THEN ???
I love road trips to new places! You came to my home province of Ontario! The Muskoka area is a beautiful place. I live just outside of Perth Ontario. Canada is a beautiful country. Thats a big job getting that barge loaded up. I will tune in to see how it goes.
We seriously considered having one commissions, but were so very happy to find the barge we did. It is perfect for us. We needed permits for each province in order to legally use their roadways, which was a huge logistical hassle as they all have different rules and regulations. Even so, although the barge was 'oversized', it ended up being just the right size to transport on provincial highways without pilot cars. That would have been a non-starter! It only required special signage, and special lights which was not a big deal at all. Thank you for watching. -Ryan.
We are sooo sorry for those sound troubles... there are times where it's a challenge. We are committed to using mics now so that helps quite a bit. We also have added some captions which hopefully help a bit but YES, we do apologize for the sound troubles at times. You can also turn your captions on during those rough moments. We are SOOO SORRY!! Thank you for watching 💚
