It was the best match at Double Or Nothing, it had emotion, good wrestling, realism, a personal story, etc.
*_"What I need, is my older brother"_*
:")
Dustin, is truly great! One of my favorites just wish we got more Dustin then Goldust.
agree with that 100%.
Dustin is one of the best.
Dustin Rhodes/Goldust is the most underrated wrestler in wwe's history. No debate.
There certainly is debate, because he wasn't underrated at all. He simply walked away from the Goldust gimmick, and tried to recapture the fame he had as Goldust too late in his life. He has always been an incredible performer, and no one that I can recall considered him underrated. Some people just aren't destined to become the face of the company.
@@alexubel Name me one guy who worked longer in wwe and won less titles than Dustin.
Kenny Omega#PushCesaro#PushHero titles aren’t everything.
What about Bastion Booger? Or Mantaur?
@@kennyomegapushcesaropushhe4184 William Regal. Wrestled longer, won less titles. He's won 19 championships to Goldust's 23. He's probably the most underrated wrestler in history, at least in my eyes.
i love this man. i have watched him over the years in the WWE and never cared for him.
thought he was a joke. turns out he is far from a joke. thank god for AEW, they gave Dustin a chance to shine and shine he did. i stand up and applaud you Dustin.
He wasn't a joke in wwe in the 90's though. He did more comedy in the 2000's but his 90s character did some great work. It is more than just one match he had at AEW. His match with Orton in 2013 was amazing.
Goldust was the best bizarre gimmick that wwe has produced and he did it well. His character was the most unpredictable persona in wrestling history.
Dustin is such a fascinating storyteller
Never mind if Dustin is THE most underated guy in wrestling...which he is!!!! He and what bullshit he put up with!! HE has proved, with Cody!...to be Something special...BEYOND DOUBT. Pure art is what that match was...
i wish i could have put up with all the bullshit like he did and became a millionaire.
This is what you call brothers love 🏆🏆🏆🎖🎖& care for each other no matter what
Hands down best match of either mans career.
Always loved Dustin/Goldust! Always got pumped when he did his returns at the Royal Rumble and whatnot and his time with Booker T. is one of the most entertaining periods in tag team wrestling within WWE.
👏👏👏standing ovation to Dustin and Cody for Double or Nothing match.
Great match. One of the best matches ever.. #aew
That match was probably the best in terms of pure emotions since Danial Bryan at WM 30 I've never seen a crowd more invested in a long long time
when i was a youngin i hated Goldust, but now that iam a mature Sports entertainment fan i have come to respect this man. He has had one hell of a career so far, & his longivity in the wrestling world can not go ignored.
To be fair. He wanted us to hate him back then. I too love this guy now, but in a strange way our hatred for him was respectful to his work.
I lost my dad so when you do something so special especially when it involves family that family member who has past is there he might not be there physically but he's there in spirit
Best match I've seen in AGES... Loved it.
It so cool to see the real dustin.
one of the greatest match i have seen in a long time .
Best match on the card. 5 people that hate this video have no love or passion for wrestling.
The people who dislike are just haters
I could listen to Dustin Rhodes/gold dust tell wrestling stories and life story all day long he just seems like one cool, down to earth humble dude. And his match against his brother cody is by far one of the greatest matches in wrestling history and it is without a doubt one of the greatest matches I've ever seen and on behalf of my fellow wrestling fans we say thank you dustin for giving us that great match 👏👏👏👏
Yup him and Tony Atlas for me!
Not gonna lie, the crying was definitely a big part of that match. It truly was magic.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING
It has to be a tough business doing what you're father did and he being a legend. I've heard it said that to step out of your father's shadow, you have walk twice as far as he did. Dustin hasn't had that opportunity but Cody might do it.
dustin is a great guy. he is a good teacher in the ring, he is great with up and coming young wrestlers, he is down to earth. and he gives back to the business.
WWE would've killed this match by over producing the build-up. It would've been just another stop on the way to the Brock match at Wrestlemania in the end. DoN was the best place to have it happen, so it could matter.
He well always be Black rain to me, his TNA career was probably some of his best work and I loved him in the attitude era. Dustin is a legend and he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame!!.
The only thing that would have made the match between cody and Dustin even better would have been if their father could have been a guest commentator
RIP American Dream
My favorite match of all time
I fucking LOVE that Dustin's quick to cry. That gets me involved emotionally so hard.
Love Dustin, he is so emotional and passionate.
the legend speaks
huge, huge fan of his, its so sad that wwe misused him for years and basically made him leave, he always will resent them a bit I think for goldust and not letting him do what he wanted, it ran its course but I think he got tired of it after a while
WWE is filled with misleading storylines. People say AEW is just a "professional wrestling" company when they fail to realize that AEW can greatly deliver the entertainment side of wrestling.
We're Live Pal! Not saying I disagree but they have had 1 show. Comparing them to WWE already just doesn’t make sense to me.
Next time you should ask about G-TV and who his protege was supposed to be in the vignettes of 2017
Damn good story telling in that match.
They should of made him a world champion. Even if it was one time and if it was a joke title reign. Like the hardcore championship scramble they did back in the day. I think golddust definitely deserves it.
Something Dustin said there about Cody "the prince of wrestling" after talking about the "king of king's" HHH struck me. Cody v HHH before Paul gets to old is just big money! It's a real long shot but if they could do it, DO IT!
like he's not bitter about Cody's privileged upbringing!
🔥
The heat was a shoot i knew it
Bro you can come up north fishing with me anytime then I don't need to be afraid of the bears :)
Goldust vs Mr.Ass Man please
When he talks about cody and stuff.. im still not sure if he means the whole situation was real like he felt angry etc. Or he's selling the match.
And man.. thats what i feel like shoot interviews should be. Because all these guys candidly talking outside the business kills a bit of immersion when you consider the reach that the internet now has. I mean imagine a guy like Roman reigns cutting a shoot promo and he's asked about shane. And instead of saying oh he's so good in the ring and its an honor to work with him etc.
Just be like yeah..its cool being in there with him but he uses his power. His position to push down alot of the younger talent. And calling himself the best in the world or whatever by picking up cheap wins? Stealing wins. Thats something i have a problem with when you have guys like Ambrose who's gone, and guys like the miz who's been stepped on..
You know? Like it can be a shoot but also keep a bit if kayfabe alive. Because the biggest problem with current wrestling the lines are not blur enough anymore. The only thimg that makes us suspended our disbelief is seeing a move that could go wrong (example Goldbergs Jackhammer) . And that's because the curtain has been drawn back so much that i know exactly how the guy is supposed to set the move up and how the other guy is supposed to take the move. As opposed to like 20 years ago where I'd just look at that and go ...yikes, that was an ugly jackhammer
Mo me myow!
You should go back To wwe
Going Global is what killed Good'ol American Wrestling.
buy some new shoes..lol
Got to give wwe props for making matches without blood and hardcore garbage
first
Dustin is a blue collar lind of guy like his Dad...Cody seems like arrogant kid.
Absolutely not took a chance on himself and made his own success and is now revolutionizing the entire wrestling business he's working his ass off too
Yes, he does *seem* arrogant. That's the persona. Beyond that persona, it appears as though he's really smart and hard working.
Gen X vs Millennial
Its not dustins fault its the fatty father faults for having relations 16 years later. Dustin is suppose to live his life in his youth. Its best parents have kids wen their having kids and be done once u stop.
I only say this which wasnt necessarily the top focus of this interview clip but I know some people who deal with the same type of situation where a sibling loath u becuz u were not there all the time wen ur over a decade older. I get being there annually and at least a few times a year but someone as busy as Dustin is unfair to hold him to tht.
Heir Fang wut
mark!
What build? Like he left and was just wrestling Cody 2 weeks later after a few internet promos
ur Goldust! whether u like it or not!
No Dustin, Cody's entrance was anything but cool. It just made him look like an insecure brat who's scared of HHH and WWE.
