My Christian friend's name is Steve. He said, "We Christians can answer any question from you Muslims".
I said No, you can't, then tell me, can I call you Adam. Or is it disrespectful?
He said people have to be called by their names.
I asked if we could call God by other names! And He responded, "No".
I said If God in the Bible said in Exodus 20:7 ("You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name), which is one of the Ten Commandments.
And If there is no way in the Bible, God tells people to call him whatever they want.
Then Why do you call Jesus Jesus? His name is Isa. If you go 2000 years from now and call him Jesus, he will not look at you.
My friend seems shocked.
So I added, can you read Malachi 2:2
"If you do not listen, and if you do not resolve to honor my name," says the LORD Almighty, "I will send a curse on you, and I will curse your blessings. Yes, I have already cursed them, because you have not resolved to honor me".
