    I honestly usually hate the flanger effect but it sounds so warm and mesmerising on this mixer. That and the rubberised dials got me sold on this.

    Hey Phill, great content as always! Could you tell us a bit more about the 2 beat counters? Why are there 2? How well does the beat detection work? Is it possible to adjust the bpm decimals manually?

    • @digitaldjtips
      @digitaldjtips  Před 8 lety +1

      +fouskalini Thanks for that! It's described as "intelligent tempo detect" - they help you tie the FX to the beat and also keep your mixes in time. I believe you can use the BPM shift function to manually make accurate edits :)

      +Elias sss Adding it to the list, although we always have to wait on review samples, etc so there's no guarantee. It's been noted, though! :) Keep an eye on this space/the site for that

    Hi Phill, thanks a mill for all your videos. I have bought this mixer about 2 weeks ago and I am finding quite har to customise the EQs, as it full kill at 11 o’clock and it’s very hard to blend a perfect mix. Could you please tell us more about how to use the customisable EQs “kill or classic”
    Thanks.

      It's an option you can change yourself - it'll be in the manual somewhere (not got the unit here any more to check).

      Hey Oskar, haven't tried it, but imagine it'd work okay, you might want to go for a bigger soundcard though

    I've just recently purchased this mixer today and it's great. I've just got a question how will I know when it's ready to update the software on it? Will it tell me that it needs doing or will I have to do it off my own back? I'm still trying to get my head round bin files. If you could give me tips or anything that would be great.

    Hey, I’ve used this mixer to record a mix through audacity, however the sound quality isn’t where it needs to be, I’ve tried different phono to phonos, as well as phono to aux. Also my levels are fine, but it still sounds like it needs tweaking. Could this be due to faulty record inputs on the mixer

    • @digitaldjtips
      @digitaldjtips  Před 4 lety

      Yes, it could also be the quality of the mixer itself - what kind is it?

      Don't believe we've reviewed the 80 but you can see a quick rundown of the differences here: www.henleypro.co.uk/assets/_managed/product/files/Reloop-Comparison_Chart_RMX80RMX60.pdf

      Should be able to with a Traktor soundcard. You might want to check out Traktor 3, it has the scratch element built in and can be used with any audio interface

    struggling to find a way how to record mixes through this mixer any tips or advice anyone?

    • @digitaldjtips
      @digitaldjtips  Před 8 lety +2

      The best way to record DJ mixes in general is directly through DJ software, if you use it. However, for recording externally, you can use a free DAW program like Audacity - you'll want to use the Rec section on the back of your RMX-60 mixer (Record Out, left and right RCAs) for this. Connect your mixer to your computer's mic input port, using an RCA to 3.5mm cable. From there you can select your input after launching Audacity. You'll want to make sure you're getting signal, and do some test recordings to make sure your levels are right (never go into the red).

      I have a followup question on this. Do I need a RCA L + R to TRS cable or do I need 2 seperate cables (RCA L - TRS + RCA R - TRS).
      In my case I'm looking to connect the RMX-60 to a Scarlett 2i2 and I'm not sure if 1 TRS input is enough.

      Reloop tape will do the work. Out from the record on the mixer through the tape's input .
      Press rec
      Job done

    Shame the gate effect was so bad - Are you sure that wasn't a duff unit?!

    • @digitaldjtips
      @digitaldjtips  Před 3 lety

      Lol no, probably my timing - you have to get gate spot-on for it to sound good.
