I live about 3 hours away from Biltmore. There’s no way to fathom how big it is until you’ve been there. It’s the closest thing we have to a castle. Doesn’t hurt that it also includes 50k+ acres of mountain ranges and forests.

There's no market for the super expensive houses here either. I live on long island, NY and in the Hamptons there's a bunch of houses in the 50-100+ million range and they sit on the market for ages never being sold. If you're gonna spend 100 million on a house, you're going to want to build it to your own personal taste.
But the people who can afford these houses don't look at them as investments. Just social status.

"Wild boar" is basically them saying "good luck growing anything here". Those things breed twice a year, litters of 4 to 6. You will be over run, and need to invite hunters in weekly for years make a dent in the numbers. You'll have to hunt them regularly the rest of your life, or release wolves or wild dogs to control the population. Wolves are a problem if you have deer though.

I've been to Biltmore in North Carolina several times. It is basically a French chateau in the Blue Ridge Mountains. During the Gilded Age, America's ultra-rich aspired to European classism and tried to buy their way into the nobility in Britain and elsewhere through marrying their daughters off to earls and dukes. This kind of building was meant to show that they were worthy and could, you know, be helpful in the financial department for land-poor nobility. BTW/ the number 1 on this list is about as appealing as a baboon's a$$. And the exotic hogs around that monstrosity in Missouri were probably just wild pigs that were already there. This is, after all, the freakin' Ozarks.

Brazilian Bankers--- They also, have to worry about kidnappings, so that's why they have so much inside their homes. Being ultra rich has it's draw backs.
The Time Share Guy--- He's selling his place when it's fininshed because of the 2008 crash he ended up broke. His wife has been selling off the furnishings that they have stored in multipule warehouses to help pay bills.
