They thought it was meant to be a real woman's severed head. Even though it was the second Al Snow WWF figure released with Head as an accessory, and featured a *photo* of Al holding what is clearly a fucking mannequin head on the card...🤣🤣🤦♂🤦♂
I'm surprised Owen Hart, the April 2020 firings, the Benoit tragedy, the Ashley incident, the Mandy Rose firing, or the "Eddie's in hell" promo didn't make this list.
I guess it’s cause there’s so many to choose from and if I had to choose any from the list to replace with any of those it would be the Al snow one just because of the absurdity of the whole situation
Why would the mandy rose make the list? she was doing softcore porn and was told to tone it down and she didn't listen.Funny her money is drying up now and her simps stopped paying and now she wants back in the business
When Paul Heyman was writing Raw, Raw felt like it was renewed for success and it gave a sense of realism to the show which was badly needed at the time.
I started watching 2005 & onward, so I'm unsure. Does having Writing Input allow a Writer to Hire Wrestlers? Or is that solely done by Management? And wasn't Heyman Management for the Original ECW?
The gun, coupled with the legendary "Get out the way!! GET OUT THE FUCKIN' WAY!!!" You hear Vince on commentary say "alright..." *off air* You can tell he wanted to swear himself...🤣🤣
Yea that pillman Austin gun thing was like, really ahead of what they were doing at the time, kinda in a bad way. They promptly apologized the next week iirc
Gotta love Al Snow. Guy pulls no punches whatsoever. Always has, always will. For some reason, I actually believe that action figures explanation. Hey, @Wrestlelamia! You're closing in on 2 million subscribers! Let's help get you there!
WWE wanted to send him to developmental for repackaging, but Marc Copani (the man who played Muhammad Hassan) refused. That resulted in Vince letting him go.
If you get fired because of what your BOSS tells you to say and YOU get public backlash for it??? That says more about your boss than it does you! Buuuut, you also have the right to say "yeah, I'm NOT saying that!" 🙄😒🤦♂️🤷♂️
Yep not his fault at all, he was just doing the job he was told to do. WWE should have pulled the segment and should take responsibility for not doing so.
If I've said it once, I'll say it again. WWE, mainly Vince McMahon, have been in the business of insulting people's intelligence, and these situations are living proof of that.
And that includes mocking Kobe Bryant, Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton's miscues. Vince and his minions (including Kevin Dunn, Brian Gewirtz, Arn Anderson and Dean Malenko) needs to say sorry to them. Period.
On Jericho's podcast, Dean revealed that Vince had wanted him to say something even worse, bad enough that Dean was certain it would have gotten him or someone fired, and the WWE would have lost sponsors. Of course, Dean immediately refused to say the line, and didn't say it on the podcast either, but he told it to Jericho after the podcast. Also, Dean has stated that he regrets saying what he did on Raw that night.
I’m pretty sure the Jinder Mahal thing was supposed to be intentionally racist to make Jinder look like a hypocrite. I’m pretty sure part of his character at the time was him calling out Americans for being xenophobic by booing him. But typical of WWE, the writing had all the subtlety of a bowling ball going through a plate glass window.
I think another reason it got so much hate is because of Mahal himself being a poor world champion. Remember people didn't really took him seriously as champion and that segment only made people want him to drop the title even more
Remember the person who was writing or directed this things was Vince nothing goes without his consent this is a man who wanted an incest storyline relationship with his real life daughter in Stephanie
Hah that Al Snow reaction was perfect, he perfectly roasted every single one of the subjects that overreacted to the action figure, the controversy around his action figure was ridiculous .
Im surprised The “pillman has a gun” wasn’t on here because USA network was mad about this i think. Also the time when vince talked to sabu backstage about how he thought he was texas then said he was in afghanistan, then he said sabu was a member of the taliban. Im surprised that wasn’t in there either
How the heck do you y'all continue to put out quality stuff? Fingers crossed bigger things come for all of you in the future. "Wtestlelamia takes over commentary at WrestleMania." I can see it now!
This cancel culture nonsense is rediculous. I swear, it's as if snowflakes are under the impression that saying insensitive things is the worst thing a human being can do... meanwhile they'll outright ignore, or at worst even advocate, completely degenerate behavior. This is outrage culture. It is insanity. When I see videos like this, it's obnoxious. I want to know things that are legitimately interesting, as that's why I subbed. Complaining about nothing tangible is worse than watching paint dry.
WWE's Creative Team can gives Marc Copani a different Heel characters after his *"Muhammad Hassan"* just lands into controversy that involves Terrorist attack on London instead of permanently and immediately released him from the contract
Seriously why didn't they edited ou the segment of Muhammad, sure video might have leaked but wwe could have repackaged Hassan if that happened I might they tried to do the same with daivari
I’m surprised the decision to continue with WWF Over the Edge ppv after the Owen Hart tragedy, and how WWE handled Chris Benoit’s death after more details came forward didn’t make the cut.
@@remingtonbouyer On WWE programming? Sure, I get that. But on this channel’s video? The decision to continue the PPV was a big issue when it happened.
The whole event should of been canceled IMMEDIATELY. A fucking guy died in the same exact ring the wrestlers had to wrestle in. Money is a disgusting thing sometimes. I actually was watching it live when the pay per view was going on.
@@leftlegcemetery I heard about it the next morning. I can’t imagine what it was like watching it live. Did you watch the Dark Side Of the Ring episode about it?
It's always interesting how people always bring up how racist it was when Vince and Hogan said those words, but are perfectly fine with other slurs being used.
All those "controversial" moments were Mickey Mouse moments compared to what we had in the Attitude Era. People are so soft, that's why when you tune in to today's product, you won't miss much because they aren't allowed to make segments that make you want to tune in the next week. Heels can't be heels. They're reduced to only bashing a town's sports team or interfering and ruining a match. It's sad
I’ve been saying the same thing. Cody winning what have been a lot better considering the fact that Roman as we had a one defense since WrestleMania. To make matters worse, it looks like WWE are finally pulling the trigger for Roman vs The Rock for WM 40 which is incredibly frustrating because Cody needs to finish the goddamn story.
Snickers acting so entitled while literally selling garbage food full of chemicals and microplastics to people... most of those ingredients whom snickers bars are made of are banned here in europe
There was nothing wrong with Vince calling Cena my nigga, it was hilarious then and still is. That was the whole point, an old out of touch man trying to appear youthful and kool.
It's one thing to push "questionable kay-fabe" but Vince doesn't give two f*cks about fans! He cares about "WWF/E reputation" and his profits! If you haven't figured that out?? Idk what to tell ya. 🙄😒🤦♂️🤷♂️
That Al Snow action figure is a really dumb controversy. It doesn’t take a genius to conclude that he has the mannequin head because it speaks to him.
Al snow was made cause of ptc karens
They thought it was meant to be a real woman's severed head. Even though it was the second Al Snow WWF figure released with Head as an accessory, and featured a *photo* of Al holding what is clearly a fucking mannequin head on the card...🤣🤣🤦♂🤦♂
Yes, it was very dumb and stupid controversy. Must be Karens during 90's are more crazy than we think.
I bet that figure would fetch some good money these days
>society

WWE has a massive library of incidents which didnt make the list, shows how much off a wicked place it can be.
And also Britney being mocked by Vince.
In short, a Top Ten list isn't enough for all these Controversial Moments That Landed WWE In Huge Trouble
When Paul Heyman was writing Raw, Raw felt like it was renewed for success and it gave a sense of realism to the show which was badly needed at the time.

@@Fan_of_The_Sailor_Scouts yea he couldn't hire or fire wrestlers, that was all the upper people
False, only the first show with Heyman was good the rest was really bad.

The gun, coupled with the legendary "Get out the way!! GET OUT THE FUCKIN' WAY!!!" You hear Vince on commentary say "alright..." *off air* You can tell he wanted to swear himself...🤣🤣
Flying Brian was so good. He really could of been huge in ECW or at least a really good mid carder for WWF.
I agree, must be a new fan
Vince McMahon dropping The N-word on Live Television...I still can't believe he got away with that.
In todays culture he sure as hell would have been cancelled.
When a Billionaire or an Owner of a big company says that on Live TV, it doesn't really matter.
You mean the segment Booker T thought was funny? :P
In context, it was an out of touch billionaire trying to be hip with the White rapper. Inappropriate yes, but it's not the worst.
They should have renamed it to the Chyna Memorial Battle Royal. She deserved it a lot more than Moolah.
Nope
Yeah, but we know that'll never happen.
Yes she did.. but sadly she'll never get it..
At the time, they were reluctant to honor Chyna because of her pornographic history
@@codemeister1121 ..yes I heard that also.. she completely crashed at the end..
I also would add the Brian Pillman gun segment and the steroid scandal.

To quote Eric Bischoff, "controversy creates cash."
You forgot the 1996 "Pillmans got a Gun" angle that almost got WWE (then WWF) kicked off USA Network.
One of my least favorite moments was more recent when Dean Ambrose told Roman Reigns he deserves cancer
