This is pure T1, James Cameron's original Future War. Cold landscapes of twisted steel and concrete rubble, desolation we couldn't conjure up in our worst nightmares. The earth, once a beautiful and thriving oasis, now reduced to ashes stirred up by the turbo whine of another hunter killer drone in search mode, passing over a collapsed building where human resistance soldiers lay in wait, faces barely illumined by the flexy sights of their plasma rifles.

I just read it again....and this has nothing to do with T2. you know i think someone referenced something religious. and maybe deleted it?? Except for the precognitions. Back when T1 and T2 came out i had precognitive dreams...about 6 month's was standard at that time. When i was six, had 2 precognitions concerning star wars. The originals... now if a religious program come across youtube..i have horrible visions and nightmares. so i had to insure no random videos play as i sleep. their are pathways to abilities some consider to be unnatural. @@Firronox

That first opening scene in The Terminator is still one of the darkest, grimmest scenes in movie history. You felt like it was actual real history being presented

This has me visualizing a world destroyed by machines. You climb over the rubble of buildings once filled with people to look out on the desolate landscape. Abandoned cars, buildings, skeletons, and silence fill the area. The noise of life has been completely snuffed out save for your own breathing. And if the machines have their way, that will be gone too.

This is perfect for a 'The Terminator RPG' campaign I'm working on for later this year, set in a ravaged New York in 2027.
It's called 'So Good They Nuked It Twice' and it's about a team going into the ruins of New York looking for an unexploded nuclear missile, and having to deal with different T-models and desperate survivors.
This will make perfect background music during the game. Thanks very much and great work!

Kyle Reese: The 600 series had rubber skin we spotted them easy. But these are new they look human, sweat bad breath everything. Very hard to spot. I had to wait till he moved on you before I could zero him.

The T-800 gets hit with the same shotguns in the police station, but I don’t think any of them were clean enough shots. The AR-15 rounds didn’t have the force. Hmm…

I don't know how widespread this notion is, but I support it.
Gotta wonder how that would work. Isn't the entire objective of the machines to *terminate* (heh) humanity?
The Matrix robots only wanted to completely control the humans, not kill them. Sure, they found humanity disgusting, but they gave them (mostly) normal lives in the end.
In Terminator, humans were rounded up, enslaved, had genetic material taken for growing more skin on T-800 models, and were then killed.
But I do like the idea, nonetheless!

In the game Terminator Dawn Of Fate there is a second A.I. just waiting for SKYNET and the RESISTANCE to nearly destroy each other. Then it would enslaved the survivors.

I looked up Terminator ambience music and this was the first I listened to. This is amazing and it sticks well with the first Terminator movie. I would love to hear something from Blade Runner if you've done that yet.

What later became the underlying theme of my life, the whole time.
Really wish Cameron would have directed a third. Would have been a masterpiece just like the previous two and could have been the greatest trilogy of all time. He was a call in producer on Dark Fate. The entire time dark fate was being filmed he was working on avatar 2. And Tim Miller was a horrible choice to direct. Denis Villeneuve would have been an incredible director/producer on a terminator or a Batman film.
The third one was supposed to show us the future war ending with the time machine scene, just like Terminator Resistance did. I still hope Cameron will make it happen someday.

This is absolutely going to haunt me...
I always wondered how humanity managed to survive the nuclear fire if not that many people knew what was about to happen.
Two things:
1: There is plenty of time between the detection of a nuclear launch and the actual detonations to take measures to limit casualties. Especially when your country is the one that fires first. You would have public emergency announcements interrupting your TV show and depending on where you live exactly, you may even see the missiles going up into the sky. Many people would've realized a nuclear war was happening, they just wouldnt understand why.
2: In the event of a nuclear war, military installations are supposed to be the targets of the first wave of missiles, which buys the government time to stop the war, before bombers, submarine launched missiles and surviving land based missiles start hitting civilian targets. Skynet fires the US nuclear arsenal at Russia, which would have responded as though it was the predicted and planned for war scenario. This means people living in cities away from military bases would've had a bit more time to react before the second wave hit.

Machines have taken over the world and humanity is, in some cases, fighting back, and in other cases, surviving. 32:30

I always wanted T3 to be set completely in UpThen...the alternate future...it seemed so obvious to 20 year old me...a trilogy that LOOPS BACK ON ITSELF...the ending of T3 could have been Reese and T-100 time jumping to 1984... that's it...what a masterpiece that could have been instead of the retconned dumpster fire, cash grab nonsense we got...I still have not watched the most recent abomination.... learned my lesson...ugh...same with THE PREDATOR...junk
