I find it amusing when people in the comments are always judging the changes based on one lucky run, when all of this is random. The new boss arena variations just range from kinda tricky to nightmarish now, and none of the old fights have actually been removed. They're just mixed in there *randomly*. It is a bit easier on average by design though, but you're welcome to turn the boss option off or go play any of the 40 randomizer versions still available on fyi. I also don't know where all that health came from, so this is only a CO win by technicality.
Win by technicality, the most correct and legitimate type of victory!

Only "a bit" easier? The new boss levels pale in comparison to the older version. No more curse kitties coming out of turtle boy, no more lava flowing as you make you way up to the flying boy, tiamat being replaced by the one hit wonder, olmec in only his stomping phase and not shooting out random garbage. These bosses gave El Blargho fits and defeating any one of them was difficult without the right weapon. Defeating all 5 in 1 run with a jetpack was a feat to be admired. He spent months trying to defeat the old gauntlet. The fact that he could defeat this monstrosity in his first play session amounts to more than just "one lucky run."

About Kingu, he's always been easy with a bunch of ways to defeat him, it's just that Blargho never figured out how to deal with him without resources. Worst case scenario, you wait until Kingu spawns a necromancer, necromancer spawns a mantrap, you place it on Kingu's back, and it's done. I do agree old Kingu was more interesting though.
About Duat, lava Duat still appears sometimes though. I guess It's Olmec Duat but when that happens it's the same.
Yama being a boss, I agree there's no point. He's not always a boss though.
I also agree about Olmec. I think Old Olmec was really fun. One of the most memorable things of the randomizer.
But I disagree that you need the right weapon for each fight to be not hard. The only bosses for which you'd really want to have a weapon were Tiamat and Hundun. The rest of them are not a matter of having a weapon, but knowing how they work. Olmec is just know how to deal with each phase and react fast enough, Kingu is whatever, Osiris dies to the lava.
I'd be fine if all the bosses were shuffled except by Olmec and Olmec stays as old crazy Olmec.
I do like other changes a lot. The random portal spawning, Yama dropping the true crown, and stuff like that. The boss shuffling is really nice as an idea, but I'd say it needs more punch.
@Dregu Is it possible to make it so that in a run there are six boss battles (Olmec, Kingu, Osiris, Tiamat, Hundun and Yama) instead of five?

It is one of if not my favorite HD sound track.
I have played the deathmatch quite a lot. It's really fun. Eventually I used a mod to level edit the PvP maps and add a lot of boulders in them.
Really fun stuff.

you will never be done with the randomizer until you finish it on the true difficulty! (keep in mind, the old version also converted your HP into the CO level you start at, so it's definitely doable)
