I must confess: I didn't know what they looked like, I just heard Cherub Rock, but when I saw this on SNL, I thought they were the coolest thing ever, Billy looked like a Flower Child Marty McFly, with his combed hair and shirts. I went to get the album the very next morning.
I remember watching this live my freshman year of college in the first floor hangout of my dorm with 2 leggy blonde twins. Every night I wish to wake up the next morning and have the calendar read 1993, but it never happens. What a great time. Thanks for the upload.
Hahaha god I love how Billy is smiling at himself slightly messing up with the opening lead and then right at the beginning of the first verse James goes a fret too high and hits the G# and he laughs again.
@TheRealSonicYouth I think the irony is from his anthemic singing in the chorus despite the song being about despair...but then again i'm english so what would i know about irony...
