can you do a session for design techniques for front garden
Hi Amy! Thank yo so much for this video and the printouts. I'm a pretty new gardener and what I'm finding as I look at plants (I'm trying to find native plants) that the pictures tend to be close ups of the flowers. And, I can't usually tell the plant shape, unless it's a spikey plant. Is there a way you recommend searching for plants of a specific shape online?
That's a good question. There's no specific website for searching the forms of different plants. You just have to find a website that will have multiple photos of the plant. Sometimes the descriptions will even say... Mounding habit, vase shaped growth, etc. As far as native plants go, their form habits tend to be a lot looser and wild. I have another video on my channel about a native plant database I really liked. You may want to check that out!
are you using a light box? My tracing paper over the printed paper doesn't work.
Tape it to your window. Natural light box. Or, outline what's on the printed paper with a sharpie.
Yes, you could also use a light box if needed.
