It doesn't matter how long someone has been riding - a pow day is just pure joy :-)
After watching hours of Nev teach on sunny days and small jumps, the stoke seeing him rip deep freshies is *exquisite*
Turning on snowboard addiction...
"It is good, oh yeah it is good down here, face shot, face shot!!!" --- Nev Lapwood
"Follow me around I'll give you some tips as we go"
"WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WOOOOOO WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WOOOOOOOOOO"
Serious respect for your cameraman! I have no idea how he keeps such a clean shot while bombing through the trees with you. Well done!
He's a wicked boarder too
Grate audio during the runn! really cinematic feel
You can clearly hear the joy in his voice as he's riding. What's cool is I think we've all been there at one point or another and can share in the joy by just watching this.
Nev STILL stops to gives solid advice on a pow day. Dude is committed.
Oh man I’m smiling ear to ear watching this. So wholesome. I had a day exactly like this in Steamboat last year and it literally enhanced my life
hell yea pow days at steamboat are epic
Shoutout to Nev for this video. I hadn’t been on a board in 4 years, I have a season pass at Grouse Mountain and the snow has been epic the last few days. I watched this video after struggling in some heavy “powder” a few weeks ago, the tips really helped me enjoy the best pow days of my life!
Yeaaah thx man, best Snowboard Channel
They forgot about the most important rule skiing powder... no friends on a powder day
“This is really deep snow - it’s sick ! “
Nev 🕺
Awesome to see Nev buzzing! 😆
I have never seen Nev so excited hahaha sick video 😂
I got down to the lift after my second run and the sweat from my brow soaked through the beanie and sure enough i lost my goggles to fog. M4s are bomb! I just started pull the lense off and keeping it off untill getting off the lift and no more fog problems!
Also quick tip... if you purchase a set of Anon goggles, check to be sure all the magnets are securely glued in thier slots. I ran across this tip myself before i bought mine. Never happened to the goggle set, but i had a loose one on a spare lens i purchased later. Little superglue and problem solved!
I love how Nev points with his mitts. It's so boop boop
totally useful tips for new pow riders
This is the ultimate job.
Yes, the lines are long, but they're soon forgotten when your floating through the deep snow. Be careful of tree wells & deep snow immersion.
Hope you can post more live coaching!
Main tip for pow day - it’ll be sick 🔥
The best!! A dream
Soooo sick! Nev, can I ask how you went about it when you initially moved to Whistler? I'm from Ontario.
That looked so much fun!! Got my feet twisting this way & that as I watch lol
Nice blower day! Grats bros
Looks epic Lucky boys f'sure
Hello, could I know which face mask and googles Nev is wearing? It looks really comfy! :)
he was soooooo stoked lol
how about steep tree powder riding in japan any tips?
Nev what size is your Speed date?
Will u guys be making more episods of beginner snowboarding live coaching?
I really like that series
I'd love a follow up of Tim from the last series, see how he's getting along
I'm doing some live coaching tutorials as well! Check them out! 🙏
Where was the second run? Crystal chair?
Sweet
Super 👍😊
Hi Nev, when would you recommends the best month of season to try out Jackson Hole?
@@SnowboardAddiction great, thanks & where should we stay, in Jackson or nearer the slopes. What don you reckon?
was just in jackson 2 weeks ago. obviously go mid winter. early spring if you wanna try corbets though, as of mid february it didnt have much coverage. got to see travis rice riding in front of me at the natural selection event which was cool. just stay in town of jackson. teton village is mega expensive
@@PhaseSkater thanks for bothering to reply. Good karma will your way come
@@neilbower123 try to stay near upper mountain and the very side lifts. Mid lifts, gondolas and village area is Jerry land and hard to ride. Also there’s a 15 dollar lot at the edge of the village for parking. Not bad compared to others. Same lot also gives free parking if you have 3 or more people in the car. Sadly I only had 2 so I had to pay. It’s only a 15 min drive from downtown Jackson. Plenty of cheap hotels and good food restaurants. Many don’t open till dinner time though. And Covid policies are super strict. People wearing masks walking alone on sidewalks and strict signs everywhere. There’s also snow king resort right in downtown Jackson. Honestly wouldn’t go to it. It’s more for beginners or locals who just want a quick pow day. The tram is a long wait at Jackson hole to the top, but it’s worth first tracks. I waited an hour and a half in line at opening for it
Today I went to Tamarack if you love powder it's your place there was 57-47 inches of powder and didn't enjoy till I feel every single foot or two I would go im 5'3 and if I would fall it would be so fricking hard to get up it took me soo long that ski patrol thought I was dead or lost consciousness but in reality I was crying cause of tierdness trying get of 3 1/2 foot powder and felt like my hip joint dislocated every time I tried to flip my self over with the board and get on my knees I watched the video and it was my first time ever riding pow we have very limited runs that have a deep enough powder to use those skills it would be like 3 inches deep on a black dimond therefore making it easy for intermediate riders to ride we never experienced that deep of a snow and my board is stiff a rock and is pretty so jumping would be a challenge for me and the people snowboarding with me would give a damn if I fell and would get mad at me instead and then banged my head cause my googles were so foggy from hyperventilating and on top of that I have like a few hours of sleep and made the dumb decision to skip breakfast cause my stomach hurt but my stupid self didn't know it was aching from hunger and when I had to pick myself up I couldn't and skiers would help me to dig myself out and were using their ski poles to get me out so thank you to all those who helped me :) and what should of been a 30 minute run became into 4 hours probably would of been more enjoyable if i knew how to ride powder correctly on but no my goofy footed self thought I would get using groomed trail manuvers so this video helped thx lol I used craving, falling leaf, hopping, and lastly speed check practically was switching every single feet cause I like doing that and probably that led to my fallings but the feeling of riding powder is riding on a cloud which feel'd weird compared to snowboarding on ice
That's a hard go! that much snow is almost not shreddible hahaha, glad to hear you are able to shred the good stuff now:)
What happened here? 😂 1:58
AHHAHAHAHAAH totally, sounded like someone ate it hard
i was just about to ask that! lol for a second i thought i was the only one to see it haha
How long do we wait in line this morning “ I don’t know an hour and a half” dude I feel spoiled 😂
Gotta wait for those pow days sometimes
@@SnowboardAddiction no doubt
Hey brother what ski area is that?
Where is that tree run?
Круто!!!👍
🤪OMG I LOVE POWDER!!!🤪
Gotta cool the kahones
Sick so Sick
We can’t even board in Ontario so this is kinda painful to watch
There's so little coaching on this episode but who can blame him?
We have a few new backcountry tutroials (Waiting for the snow) in the works at the moment!
Very little technical info in this video. Aside from being aft on the board, nothing was mentioned about ankle movement and body position.
I love but also kinda hate you for that video. Wish i could crush some powder rn
what a day just to waste it following the main guy in this video..
