Thanks, cheers :)
Very informative video
Thanks mate!
Awesome video, you made it so easy. I saw your short for how to loop the video, i'm just wondering where would I add the loopOut("pingpong") expression if I wanted to add it to this tutorial?
So ideally, loopOut("pingpong") would no work very well here as the it will make the animation jump back and forth and not let it seamlessly animate like liquid. But if you still want to try - you can pre-compose the whole thing, enable time remapping and then add the expression to that
you.are. amazing.
Thanks!
Brilliant
Thanks 🫶
Hey, thanks for the tutorial man. Could you please make this project available as a download? It would help me understand it much better
.
Hey, glad to know it was helpful. Sorry, the project was not saved. I will try and do it again to share it with you
Hi! why is there a black that keeps on showing up when I change the amount of or size of Turbulent Displace :( help pls
great tutorial! what font do u use??
Thanks :) the font is called clash grotesk
Hi this video is very helpful! Only one thing that isnt working for me for some reason are the anchor points for the points and I pressed the 4 color gradient
you need to drag one and make sure you have toggle mask and shape visibility on in the preview window.
Thanks for helping out Valth :)
it was working great during the beginning of my video but after a while it just stops moving. i'm not sure what to do about fixing it because i followed everything step by step. any ideas on how to fix?
quick update lol but i figured it out! if anyone else has the same issue, here's what to do! all you need to do is add '%32768' next to time*200. so basically, you'd put time*200%32768.
Thanks for the update!
Anyone have guidance on how to make this a seamless loop?
I decided to try a seamless loop just to help you out 🤍 so follow my steps below to achieve it.
From 3:48 in the video, the moment he says:
"While holding option on your keyboard if you're on a mac, alt..."
-Don't do that-
Instead, just click the clock button without holding the [option/alt] key and this will place a keyframe on the frame 0 (your time cursor must be on frame 0 before you do this), then go to the last frame of your composition and change the value of evolution to 1x+0.0.
Now go to Evolution options just below it and expand it, enable the option (✅) Cycle Evolution and the option value from the Cycle (in Revolution (1)
Amazing video. one question though: in some random moments I will see small transparent circles pop up. I tried adding a layer below the solid to hide them but that did nothing. Any idea how I can fix this?
Thanks. There’s an option for ‘mirror edges’ when adding the motion tile effect, make sure you check that to avoid any errors in the gradient.
@@rapiddesigns7764 I experienced this as well, even after checking mirror edges. They appear as black circles. EDIT: They disappear if you apply turbulent displace after applying motion tile.
Thank you for this video - just one question: can we add more than 4 colors? I would like to have 5, but guess it's not possible
It’s not possible natively on After Effects. But there is an advanced way to use the Colorama effect and Fracal Noise to achieve this, but it is a fairly advanced technique. Let me know if you would want a tutorial around it
@@rapiddesigns7764 Thanks for answering ! Tutorial is not urgent, but if you have time to do it, why not, I was asking rather by curiosity ;)
Is there any way to seamlessly loop this gradient? please reply.
Maybe this can help

Does anyone know if the Effect Motion Tile is a plug in? I just have my AE in Spanish so I can’t find it tho
No, this is an effect available with After Effects
I did this and now I'm trying to make a transition using the shadows from the 3D spotlight but the shadows on the gradient ends up getting really spotty, any idea how to fix? gradient is turned into a 3D layer btw
Two questions before I can help you -
1. Are you using the gradient as a composition inside a different composition?
2. Can you try and see if making the gradient comp layer 2d helps with this?
hey buddy thanks for the tut. When I set turbulent displace amount as 300 I see black spots appearing... what's the solution?
do this step later when u got everything then those spots won't appear🙏
Just be sure to check the option which says ‘mirror edges’ inside the motion tile effect and it should fix it. Also make sure the motion tile effect is on top of the turbulent displace effect
How about more than 4 colors?
It is not possible directly but you can try doing two layers with different colors and play around with the blending modes to find something unique
background not animating 😥, did it all right according to tutorial, what to so now ...!
Shouldn’t be happening, did you try starting all over again?
how do you do that animation but in a loop, i mean infinit like that you can´t see the cut when it started again. Thanks!
I might just make a video or shorts on how to to do a continuous loop. Coming soon, stay subscribed!
Hey, the Short videos is up on the channel. Do check it out and let me know if it helps
@@rapiddesigns7764do you ever use 16 bit depth setting in creating after effects compositions?
show
when writing the expression ''time*200'' it's showing error. how to fix this?
What error are you getting?
hello, how if we need more than 4 color?
It’s not possible natively on After Effects. But there is an advanced way to use the Colorama effect and Fracal Noise to achieve this, but it is a fairly advanced technique. Let me know if you would want a tutorial around it
Whenever I export an animated gradient video, some "lines" appear in the gradient. How can I fix this and make it smoother?
Work in 16 bit or 32 bit float at 1080p or higher.
Yes Anna, switching to a higher bit color depth would reduce the banding of the gradient.
Thanks for the help Vlad :)
@@rapiddesigns7764 Absolutely, and thanks for this quick tutorial! It's a cool effect with a lot of potential uses. I'll definitely be making this in the near future! 👌🏾
What is the font on 2:37?
Space Grotesk
how i loop this ?
