I needed to make a bench seat for my off grid cabin to store the Eco-Flow Batteries as well as have a seat for the fold up table. I didn't want to build it in, so I chose to make a stand alone piece that I can remove if I need to. If you didn't see the making of the top already, check out my last video here • Making The Profiled To...

OMG!!! I make small boxes that I need to cut wedge shaped handles for the lids. It’s the part of the whole deal that I have the most difficulty with and you just solved the whole damn problem! It just goes to show (again) that you must watch every video because even if an episode doesn’t especially hit your hot button…you’re going to come away with something. Guess what I’m doin’ tomorrow…makin’ me a Samurai wedge jig. Thanks, thanks, thanks!

Love your channel and your work Jesse! I've seen many carpenters in my 75 years - finishing, framing - whatever. But none better than you!! Very very impressive young man. Also loved the Japan video a while back, on sharpening - clearly your pride in sharpening your chisels and blades shows your attention to detail. Regards and my best to you and your family. Lovely. I enjoy watching craftsmen at work. I've been following the reconstruction of Tally Ho for almost four years and am amazed at what can be done with wood when you know what you're doing. Last evening I watched a series of videos about the construction of a double bass instrument often seen in orchestras. I mention it because one of the things this luthier did was include video of him sharpening his instruments. I don't know if you've ever done anything like that but clearly the chisels, planes and knives you use have to be very sharp. I'd love to see how you care for your tools, whether as a part of a project you're developing or as a stand alone video. What tools are essential to. your work and how do you maintain them? Something like that. Thanks for the wonderful work you share with all of us.
