If you compare Klopp's football model and Pep's football model, you will understand why one of them is suitable for the long-term. Now before anyone comes and spills their 2 cents brain-dead argument about money, Liverpool have had a higher net-spend this season as compared to Man City. Also Man utd (off topic) have had a higher net spend over the past 6 years than Man City.
Now, Klopp's football model is based on Intensity and Speed with less emhasis on creativity. Guardiola's model is based on Creativity and fluidity with lesser intensity and Speed in comparison to Liverpool.
So when people say that Klopp should buy some 2 creative midfielders, how will that change the situation if Klopp's model puts less emphassis on creativity? Even if Liverpool bought 3 creative midfielders, Klopp would simply turn them into midfield workhorses to run and recover the ball and supply to the front 3. This is the tactic he has been using for years now.
Pep on the other hand is a master of shapeshifting. His teams are less direct and are highly trained on positional interchange. This makes Pep's teams more unpredictable.
Klopp's reliance on intensity and speed and less on creativity has 2 disadvantages. One, is that it makes his team predicatble over time. Second, it speeds up the wear and tear of players.

Most of our injuries are from defenders see at the end of last season playing with injured Laporte Ake out stones out Ruben out it is because defenders in pep system are the most involved people because most of the time teams sit back allow them to progress the ball forward.. Maybe not enough games? TAA is without a doubt one of the best right backs in the world. He had the most assists in the league twice, as a right back! Milner is the only one, that is way past his peak and is maybe good as a joker for the last 20 minutes of a game.

Mane drops deep to win balls, then pass to teammates, open up space and attack the 6 yard box. Mane did the work quietly for 6 seasons and helping the team look impressive with the link up plays. That is lacking right now, no intensity to attack n defend. Klopp need to reinvent and rebuild the team, like he done so 6 seasons ago. Can't do patch repair anymore. The team need a fresh restart. No disrespect to the team, but non performing players have to be dropped or get replaced. Need to get new players - simply can't sustain further with some of the players already older.

Why are they all shy of mentioning the 'Mane' effect? They lost their attacking/pressing impetus with his absence. I think the biggest problem is their midfield.
No Henderson, no Thiago (at the start), and no Wijnaldum/Keita.
That means no creativity and no energy in the midfield.
Milner is old and Elliot is more fit to play as AM or RW.
That forced Trent to invert and Firmino to drop even more, leaving hole on the right side and leaving Salah having to cover for that, meaning Salah is often staying wide, so Diaz is left all alone up front.

Not a single midfielder that is good at taking shots from a distance is worrying. It's been an issues for years. It was only ignored last season because they were winning. Keeping possession and depending on fullbacks crosses every game isn't going to work against all teams. Squad depth is key. You can't keep over working same players repeatly and expect them to be at their Top level. The attack has nothing to do with it. Diaz is almost an identical player as Mané. The midfield is the issue. Talk about Mané when we have to rely on a 37 year old playing matches back to back. If Ox, Keïta and Thiago were all fit, most likely things would have been better. And Nuñéz's red card didn't help much, but luckily Firmino has recovered his form for us this season. And Salah not doing his part doesn't help.

Ox isn’t good enough and has a poor injury record and needs replacing, Thiago is brilliant but also picks up injuries, Fabinho will guarantee a month or so out injured, so will Henderson. Mane was the start of the Klopp revolution. He was his first signee, and he started the winning for him; but he took mane for granted and now he’s paying for it. Klopp time is up; he’s not going to get that glory again. Big big mistake selling Sadio Mane. Liverpool have lost their Cham since Mane left. I use to support them but since Mane left I just lost hope in them. It’s over for Liverpool trust me.
Sadio mane was the pressing and attacking machine; he pressed defenders and gave Sallah the opening to score more goals. Liverpool defends has alway had a problem; but it went unnoticed because Mane and Sallah scored more goals and they were trouble for many defenders and goal keepers.

City have got everything right, transfers, integrating Haaland, which many thought wouldn’t work , just possibly Pep knows a little bit more than his critics. City have weapons all over the pitch, winning the league without a striker multiple times, and now with Haaland, they have sacrificed nothing but gained a player who might well score 40 goals , in what will be a messed up campaign. Nunez had come into a team well out of sorts, a lot of people are still not convinced by him, which in the circumstances, considering his team mates performances, is not representative . Maybe the cycle is over go Liverpool have several players getting up around and over 30, and clever recruitment seems like a given and soon.
