I used to get RC plane adverts all the time, the fact that a battery alone is more expensive than they are offering the entire model for was always a give away.

I can’t say I’ve been scammed by a Facebook ad, but I was definitely tempted by Facebook ads before. I tend to be quite a skeptic when it comes to shady advertising, so what I usually do is try to find the exact same product on Amazon. At least through Amazon they offer some consumer protection if you don’t receive the product that was advertised to you.

I've been getting ads for the lego bugatti for some daft low price. The excuse being it is cheap to save moving costs as they are moving warehouse. I'm intrigued as to what would arrive but not enough to warrant buying it.

That’s why on your Facebook app, you go to your privacy settings and look for “off Facebook history” and turn it off... Facebook now watches what you do when your not even using the App. As in any websites or other apps you use, Facebook still monitors what your doing regardless of if your logged into the app or not.. 👀
