  • CNN Hero 2012 Pushpa Basnet is a social worker and the Founder/President of Early Childhood Development Center (ECDC) and Butterfly Home, non profit organizations, in Kathmandu, Nepal. She and her organization work to strengthen the rights of children living behind bars with their incarcerated parents. Pushpa talks about what made her start ECDC and her struggles in trying to help these children and give them a better future.
    In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
