- I was at Maryland Deathfest last week in Baltimore, Maryland! One of North America's most sought after extreme metal festivals!

Hey shout outs! This video came up randomly in my feed, great to see ya outside of DeathFest & Twitter lol It sounds like we caught a lot of these same sets, but it's fun to hear what other folks' experiences were like, and about the sets I couldn't catch! There's so much to do! Amazing Pro-tip abt Ram's Head having cheap snacks, I'll have to remember that for next time!!
I'm sad I can't make it for next year, but 2026 is looking good!
PS - I was also close up and personal for Spirit Possession but holy shit I did not realize he was doing all that without a pick!? What the actual fuck???

One of my favorite bands from Rockstadt Extreme Fest last year was Spectral Wound,and a huge surprise for me to see them announced on the line up,their show was amazing nontheless,they also signed bot of my albums i had with me,it was fucking great!🤘🤘

Just an FYI for anyone going in the future, do some research and scope out the Baltimore area.... there are LOTS of amazing places to eat and drink not far outside of the fest but for WAY cheaper than inside the fest. The festival was great and there WERE some ok deals here and there but overall the drinks get RIDICULOUSLY expensive at $15-20 a pop..... when just a few blocks over you can pregame with 24oz Natty Bohs for $5 a piece. I live in the area and have been to Deathfest many times, trust me, Baltimore has LOTS to offer outside the Power Plant area.

I was in the merch line during Arcturus as well for around 45 minutes to pick up a preorder fest shirt, only to find out there was a separate line for preorders. I sacrificed seeing some bands to get up close and wait for Agalloch, Dismember, Abbath, and Mayhem. My first MDF and I’m going again next year, already got my four day pass.
Lineup next year is already looking fire!
Kinda regret not going now. Woulda been cool to meet you IRL. I had to handle things on the farm.
Definitely make it at some point! Very worth it!

Fair. So I didn't miss them. The tent happened to be near that stage. I was able to see and hear them the entire time I stood in that line
It was kind of adorable seeing all the regular folk getting mesmerised out by the Market Place fences.
Although, on the flip side of the coin, we were wandering in one day through a small local park and passed a group of late 20s-early 30s mothers with their strollers, etc, and you could faintly hear Severe Torture getting going in the distance, and one of these ladies - in a voice positively DRIPPING with disdain - loudly said "oh good, it's that rock & roll concert again, that's just what we need."
Had to laugh at that.
I felt bad for all the workers in the area that had to deal with all of us, especially at the 7/11
I bet that 7/11 does more business that weekend than the entire rest of the month though!
