Beautiful. This reminds me of the Renoir Woman and Child my grandmother had that I looked at so often and later my husband bought for me. My daughter has it in her room now along with a watercolor floral print. My girls are constantly taking my clothes, jewelry, art etc.
These look really good. I like the metal container. My only gripe would be there's no cover in the initial shipping (or similar to like powder makeup or face cream plastic cover) to prevent the paint from getting all over the edges like they have when you initially opened them which can waste a good amount of the paint over time especially if stored at an angle. And as you comment notes they don't reactivate well after a week or so, if there's any extended period of not opening them to the point you wouldn't see the paint drying along the seal then there's even more wasted. That or if shipping is rather aggressive then you risk loosing a large amount before you ever get your hands on them.
Can I just say, your art is so good I have no words to explain it. You are oh so amazing. These works look like they should belong in a museum with the great artists in history. Keep it up. I hope this channel gains at least a million subscribers 😊👏💖💖💖
This turned out so beautiful! You have so much control with gouache, I hope someday I can be that adept with it. I just worked on a piece where I ended up reactivate layers by trying to glaze over the top...I've heard you can use fixitive to fix the layers before going on top with more. Have you ever tried it?
Hi Willow! I haven’t used fixative on gouache because I get too scared that I might reactivate my layers. I really felt it when you said you accidentally reactivated some of yours, i struggled with that a lot and you can even see it on older videos. Painting with it more really just helped me get used to water control after and even got to a point where I can glaze on top of dried layers and not reactivate them so much. I have heard people talk about fixatives for gouache too though. Or maybe you might be interested in acrylic gouache?

These colors don't gray out because they're all warm toned colors. Arrtx did a good job with this palette making sure the colors are all complementary. The MIYA get muddy because the colors are all over the place in terms of warm and cool. When you're mixing with the MIYA make sure to pick colors that have the same tone.
Great advice! However, the red is pretty neutral on this palette and i also apply the warm and cool colors together when mixing with the miya gouache. They still gray out because the paints don't have a lot of pigment on them
