Jeremiahs character development is fucking brilliant. I actually disliked his character a lot but than he slowly became my absolute favorite. He's as manly as manly can get! So badass!

Jeremiah Gottwald has one of my favorite character developments in all anime. From his start as a relatively unimportant early antagonist to ending the series as one of the few people in Lelouch's inner circle and the only character possessing the ability to actively combat geass. Not to mention he's a fucking cyborg and his mech is a buzzsaw I mean COME ON THIS GUY IS SO MANLY
Even in his over the top and cheesy moments, he EXUDES manliness [and LOYALTY! for Lelouch, Nunnally, and Marianne] from every pore. It tastes... Like concentrated oranges. Of LOYAL MANLINESS!
Also he's just a plain badass who beat one of the Knights of the rounds in the coolest way ever the man jumped onto a knightmare for crying out loud

Technically, they don’t pierce his suit because of his metal body underneath. The reason cloth tears is that the kinetic energy overpowers the elasticity of the material. A knife can do so easier because it focuses the kinetic force into a smaller area. But as there is sheer metal underneath, the material doesn’t stretch at all.
Jeremiah Gottwald: gentleman, scholar, soldier, sailor, tinker, tailor, farmer, and all around cool guy. And don't forget, Orange is the name of his loyalty. And no his clothes aren't bulletproof, projectiles just deflect out of sheer respect.

@@kreigguardsman3355 The exact exchange isn't here, but it immediately follows the scene at 5:27. Elaboration, Jeremiah gets a radio call asking him to take command of...something. We never hear what exactly, as Jeremiah cuts the man off, before turning back to the battlefield and stating he hadn't had this much fun on the frontlines in ages. Having already jumped into the main staging ground wit the Lancelot, Lloyd was presumably still searching for a pilot among the active ranks at that moment, as he's seen lamenting the fact in a later scene, having just missed someone who headed to the battlefield minutes before. Given the fact that Jeremiah (and the other Pureblood faction members) had just launched a couple of scenes before, coupled with Jeremiah's later demonstrations of prowess in the seat of several different Knightmare Frames throughout the series, it's not too far of a shot to guess that he was the pilot they were after.
Then Suzaku shows up for medical attention, Lloyd probably looks at his dog tags, thinks "what the hell, why not?", looks up his test scores, and then probably has a serious philosophical pondering about the notions of fate before getting to work, indirectly causing about 70% of Lelouch's problems going forward.

I like how Jerimiah just sits in his Knightmare while fighting, doing "The Pose". Because when you wipe out hundreds of enemies, you have to do it in style!
His fight with Anya is one of my favourites. It doesn't have the best action or anything, but Jeremiah's Knightmare being pulled apart piece by piece until he basically blows it up himself until he can reach Anya and call checkmate, all the while delivering her defeat as a gentleman. (chef kiss)

Whoever cast this dub deserves to be knighted. Even now it holds up with its performances, so much so that the majority of fans in Japan actually think Johnny Yong Bosch is the best Lelouch.
Me and my wife named our ground boa "Lord Jeremiah" because of his scale colors and we call him Orange Boy all the time. And his character arc kind of follows how our snake was. The first few months he was opposed to us and wouldn't eat, but now he's sworn allegiance to us and will eat at will and willing lets us hold him kind of like how Jeremiah slowly went to Lelouche's side lmao
