you can definitely tell drew's one of the youtubers in his genre who puts a lot work into writing and planning. even the simpler concepts feel well-rounded and thought out.
Every time I see Drew upload, I know I'm in for some quality content - especially in the last couple of years, it's awesome to see him grow not just as a CZcamsr but an artist.

Unfortunately for Drew I doubt people will ever stop making the he is Danny joke. It's the same people that still joke about Cody being old. They got likes for commenting it one time in 2017 and now they comment it every opportunity they get.

Exactly! It's also very annoying to see it happen with other commentary CZcamsrs. The amount of times I've seen "omg it drew! you mean danny! don't you mean kurtis? no, its chadchad!" is so annoying.
People think CZcamsrs are their friends and they can "joke" with them regardless of the fact they aren't their friends, the joke isn't even theirs and it's old as all heck. CZcamsrs aren't your friends. Listening to a podcast/music/buying a ticket/etc doesn't mean you can talk to someone however you want. It's bizarre to me how people treat celebrities (however big or small those celebrities are).

i unironically wish the set of this was more chill. why is it feel so not chill, who are the randos in the background why is this like a sport analyst ass set. wish it would be more chill tbh. watching strictly for Drew. but god this set sucks so bad the vibes are terrible and cold
cody thinks splurging money on a podcast studio (and some editors who we have no idea about laughing in the background) surely will make everything seem more professional and high quality, when all they needed was just a cozy couch and 2 sets of mics. he could even do this at his own backyard or whatever and i can assure you it would still feel a million times better. he's gotten so weird.

Drew is just the best! So are you Cody. However, it did seem like there wasn’t much preparation for this episode. Many small awkward moments of silence, and some questions that didn’t really give much room for a fruitful conversation. Some criticism with peace and love of course!
Valid criticism. The way I personally see it is that those are the things that make it feel like an authentic and natural conversation between two friends. Like it’s called “catching up with drew gooden” and it really feels like you’re watching two friends catch up.
@@tinaoom Personally, I did not get a sense that they're actually friends from this episode. They get along well, but it felt like Cody's questions were something you ask when you just want to make small talk, not for an actual podcast interview. I didn't really learn much about Drew from this episode.

I always have questions about the concept of selfishness in the first place. Even as someone who cares about collectivism when it comes to society and communities, I still can’t get behind selfishness as an inherently bad thing. If caring about your sleep (which is a literal necessity like eating or breathing) is “selfish” and therefore bad, what even is the point of anything? Like damn.
And as someone who has a kid- that’s a beyond valid point that is too often brushed away. Sleep is a lot different now and will be for the rest of my life.

their content used to be more similar back in 2018/2019 but it very much feels like drew has outgrown that era & cody is still stuck in it hence the disconnect. this is my first cody video in a while, i used to watch him religiously but i unsubscribed when his content started getting stale and unfunny, but i love drew so i checked it out - and i was curious to see what cody’s been up to since & how different the vibe would feel from their last podcast together… needless to say it just made me feel a little sad and awkward lol. drew has clearly evolved and found a comfortable footing in his life & content while cody just seems insecure and kinda shallow now, only making content for content’s sake.
