I said this in the last video but it got privated so I'll say it again: There is massive improvement in Xingchen's new SynthV bank. Her V4 sounded way too high pitched and cutesy imo and I often confused her for Haiyi. Here, she doesn't sound like any of her sisters and is a lot more loyal to her voice provider. She sounds like her own character now!

Not many people realize that StarDust was originally a Vocaloid, Miku was indeed NOT the first vocaloid to transfer to a different system, however she is the first to get her own. Yamine Renri is an Utau who also has a SynthV, but it’s not as popular as her Utau voice bank because it’s not free. I think it’s pretty interesting how this all works. Yuzuki and Ia went to Cevio AI which has (in my opinion) a similar quality to Synthv but it doesn’t have cross-language. Synthv in my opinion is the best if not one of the best Synthesizer operators out there, and is rapidly gaining popularity. Vocaloid will always be a classic, but it’s quickly getting out classed. SynthV is honestly such a bussin program. Literally every full VB I've heard is on another level. While I was glad to live in the Vocaloid era, she just sounds so much better here.

Stardust is on a different lvl..this technology is so amazing I’m such a fan. Wish vocaloid esp Luka got something like this. I’m in awe. Also obsessed with the Honkai look. Her lore is so cool.

The cross-lingual feature is amazing, but I hope the accents will get better. It's just kind of ironic that the voice provider Chalili doesn't really have a Chinese accent when she sings in English, while Stardust does.
I hope SynthV will get to the point where it's possible to use Stardust to imitate Chalili singing in English like how people can already do with her in Chinese
I’d argue to say the accent is hardly Chinese. More of a robotic tone in consonant and vowel sounds. You can hear glitches at certain moments. I thing it would only be truly refined if she had a fully recorded set of english phonemes to supplement the oddity in the synthesis sound.
I think there were certain vocaloid banks with that ? Correct me if I’m wrong but , a Japanese or Chinese bank with a pack of added phonemes for English capabilities. I think it was Luka? I’m sorry I forget 😩 but I honestly think that small detail and small amount of training with the AI would improve this. But it’s costly :/ especially for something so minor that might not be solved noticeably through this method. It’s tricky with AI cause sometimes you can get funky results when training it to do other things … sometimes it janks it up and you gotta start from base level.
1:17 listen here you can here many glitches with the AI. The AI is not only dealing with patching phonemes with English training but is synthesizing her voice throughout it to match as best as it can with it’s given data. It’s kinda fuzzy but for what it is now I think it’s pretty advanced.. for only Chinese phonemes the AI has done really well to synthesize a result that’s readable.
@@H0LIIWUD I'm surrounded by Chinese-speakers on a daily basis, so Stardust's English does sound like a type of heavier CN accent that I'd hear. (Also if you've heard how elementary and middle school kids here speak, they're totally robotic with the vowels)
My issue is that out of all Chinese AI voicebanks, it's her English that sounds the most accented. Qingsu and Mo Chen pronounce it better than her. Can't quite tell with Muxin yet because he only has 2 songs. Cangqiong's English is the best one and it really blew my mind when I heard her EN demos.
On the other hand, Stardust's Chinese is the most realistic out of every CN voicebank. And ironically lots of CN fans think Qingsu pronounces Chinese like a foreigner. Sometimes I wonder if that's related to how natural they sound in other languages
@@H0LIIWUD I checked 1:17 out and it's not the glitches that I'm referring to. I meant the way she pronounces words. Stuff like 0:32 in how she pronounces “turned” and “to” just hits so close to home lol. It's giving me flashbacks of how my classmates talk in English class.
Even though every Chinese AI SynthV has a noticeable CN pronunciation in the “too” sound (probably because of the same model trained or something), Stardust always goes the hardest out of all with that enunciation.
That was just 1 example that isn't exclusive to Stardust, but she has more places which sound off to me that other CN AI voicebanks don't have that much. I can't quite put my finger on it, but there's just something about the vowels and consonants.. And another thing is that she sounds like she has a lisp in EN

Dreamtonics sucks on updating their website, so there is no Stardust or Minus for example but yes, she's a SynthV voicebank. Unfortunately, she's hard to get for English audience because she's only available on a Chinese store of her developers on Taobao.
