🔥 Frequently Asked Questions:
Do you have a left handed version of this video? If you are left handed, you can convert ANY video on CZcams yourself! Simply go to www.mirrorthevideo.com/ and follow the instructions to mirror flip any video to convert to left handed!
How much yarn will I need? This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!
How many squares do I need for a blanket? That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want 😀
Do you have the written pattern? Yes! I have written patterns to accompany my video tutorials on my website here: www.hookedbyrobin.com The written pattern is generally released a week or so after the video tutorial to ensure there are no errors in the video itself and to make amendments in the written version if any are found. All the written patterns are FREE to access on my website
How can I print the pattern from your website? Do you have downloadable PDF's? Not at this time no. This may change in the future but for now, I only provide the written pattern directly on my website.
Can you remake this video so it is slower? If the video speed is too fast, you can slow it down! 😀 See this video on exactly how: • How to Adjust the Spee...
Why do you use American stitch terminology? I learnt using USA stitch terms, long before I even knew there was a difference between UK & US terminology! American terms are my "first language" so to speak. If you need a conversion chart, I have one here! www.hookedbyrobin.com/crochet...

I never did any amigurumi before, only simple scarfs/coasters. After 3 days I ended with 15 stars. I love them
What is a double crochet?
@@the.ugly.duck.so double crochet is like single crochet but it's a bit different, in double crochet the size of your stitches get a bit taller then single crochet. You can do double crochet by doing the first grab your yarn around the hook and then your going to stick into the 4th chain, only do it in the 4th chain when your starting a row, and then your going to bring up the loop bring up the loop, what you're really doing is reaching back, scooping up the yarn, just like this pulling it back through and you now have tree loops on your hook, again pull it through the first two loops and you'll now have two loops on your hook wrap your yarn around the hook and pull it through the last two loops, you'll now have one loop on your hook and your first double crochet for this row is done. And in the same roow you don't have to start the double crochet from the 4th chain.
If you only do two star legs, you get a cat face!! I love this pattern. Thank you!
Thanks
I love this comment! Thanks for the idea!
I want a tutorial cuz Im dumb uggg
I noticed the cat face too!!!!!
I did this. Thanks for the idea! 😻
All of these amigurumi patterns are adorable! I know you haven’t done one of these in a while but if you want to make one, I think a turtle pattern would look super cute!
Yay, I finally gave this a try! As a beginner at amigurumi, I really appreciate your clear and concise instructions and imagery. Thank you so much for sharing this great design, and a huge thanks to Akamatra!
My daughter is loving these little mini figures I've been watching of yours. She has the flower, a few hearts, a star and rainbow now. She has them on her backpack. All her friends want me to make them some now.
I've watched 2 of your videos this morning and I absolutely love them. I love your humor and that your a lazy crafter like me. I learned how to crochet starting in March when the states went into quarantine for COVID. And now I am hooked!!! I've made leg warmers, granny squares for 2 blankets. So your blocking video was awesome. Thank you! I'm currently working on snowflakes, these stars, and fingerless gloves.
I do not read patterns very well so all that I have learned has been through your videos and video chat with my best friend who lives in Florida.
My husband is active duty military and crocheting has already been such a huge stress relief. It will keep my hands and mind distracted during his next and upcoming deployment. Your videos will get me through the time.
Thanks again and have a happy day.
Loved this! In case this is helpful to anyone else, you can make the stars smaller by skipping the last row of increases (right where you have 15 stitches) and start working on the points exactly as described in the video, but doing only 2 slip stitches instead of 3 in between each point!
Thank you so much for sharing Daisy.😃🧶
How to make bigger like pillow
Use a larger hook and yarn size.😃
Was never interested in doing amigumuri but this tutorial may have changed my mind. These stars looks so cuuuuute🥰
😀🌟
This was super easy to do. I made a teal coloured one and I’m going to make more. I’ve shared the video with my cousins as they love crocheting too. Thank you so much☺️.
Watching this before I even start trying to crochet and you lost me at double crochet and half crochet 😂 rewatching until I get it, but i still love how well you showed us how to make this thank you
They are fantastically adorable . 🥰🥰 Thank you ever so much Robin
Those are SO cute, I love them. Now I need a cute little crescent moon to go with them for a mobile .
I agree and what a cute little baby mobile they would make together stars, crescent moon and maybe a fluffy cloud or two.
A month late but if you follow the IG link to the owner of the pattern she has a crescent moon pattern down a little bit on her page!
Edit: hopefully this takes you straight to that post instagram.com/akamatra/
Thank you so much for your easy tutorials. I love this little star and also jellyfish. ❤️
Your work is beautiful.
Oh this video is amazing I'm just starting out with crochet and you've explained it so well I'm about to start my star now. Thank you I def have subscribed !
Very cute. Thanks for sharing. From long time I was searching such cute little stars for key chain.
My first one has a certain homemade charm, but it still looks super cute! I somehow ended up with a 6 pointed star for one of the sides, so I kept that one as practice and had another go!
They are so cute! I'll make it for a classmate of mine as a part of her present; I hope she'll like it :D
she will like it
Thank you Robin - especially the timestamps, SO helpful!!!!!

I like how clear the visuals are to this tutorial
Very cute and versatile little star!
Love the idea of a garland. Maybe make the stars with a yarn that has a sparkle to it. Fasten the stars to the garland with the stitch markers then I can give them away right off the tree.
I just used your star pattern to put a star on a wind spinner and it looks great. I didn't put a face on or stuff it but I did add bells on the 2 lower points.
They are so cuuuute!
Loved the pattern thank you
