  • Describes how the dorsal column medial lemniscal (DCML) system carries deep touch which can inhibit pain signals carried by A-delta or C fibers and transmitted via the spinothalamic tract, from reaching the brain.

      Well intensity of pain also depends upon the perception of the pain for example: getting slapped by your crush is not as painful as getting slapped by your school teacher . Lmfao XD XD

    The pacinian is responsible for 90% of gate control, but it's a motion/position sense nerve, not deep touch. Merckel disks are deep touch. One of the reasons TENs units aren't as effective is often they send impulses at 20-120Hz, but the Pacinian responds most strongly to 180-250Hz). (Manfredi, PloS one 2012:7(2):31203.)

    Sir i have question with regard to these long neurons , for example the A delta fiber , in which form this neuron will travel to the spinal cord ! In a form of nerve? For example if there is a damage to the biceps, this A delta fiber will travel inside the musclocutaneous nerve or what .☺️ and also for the second order neuron how it will travel to the brain , sorry if my question is confusing but i really want to imagine this 🙏🏻

    • @physiopathopharmaco4190
      @physiopathopharmaco4190  Před 4 lety +1

      To get to the brain, the second order neurons travel via the neospinothalamic tract and the paleospinothalamic tract. The first order neurons carrying pain signals from the head and face travel through cranial nerve V( trigeminal nerve).
