When chased, it's worth knowing your vehicle's capabilities as opposed to those of the pursuers...
Yes, it's even feasible to beat the cops with a Harley, just about any Harley... BUT it comes with knowing your advantages, and on ANY motorcycle that's summed up in "space" and "Maneuverability"... If you wan't to "win", then you need to make use of those... AND on a Harley, that involves tangling the cops up in traffic... BUT there's no real traffic around for that in this clip. In which case, you admit defeat and live to chase (or be chased) another day...
AND nobody cares that you've had a bad day. Cry about it and maybe curry favor if you're damn lucky, but whining about "being profiled" on a friggin' bagger is just about as silly as it gets. Cops no us cruiser and bagger types are usually among the most chill bikers they'll deal with, and you're just making yourself look terrible. ;o)

Look, I won't bash (most) Harleys for their performance. HD makes a few good bikes. The problems are usually in the riders.
That said, the better option to lose a tail of any kind is to simply go places that he or she or they CAN'T... AND since you can't lane split with an SUV, it's far easier to put the cops on the worse end by heading full-on into traffic. Even with their sirens and lights, it's GOING to slow them down...
Of course, you DO have to actually know how to ride first...
I'm on a 95 Suzuki Savage 650, so nothing special... BUT I occasionally get into places the guys with trail bikes and dual sports aren't willing to go. If someone (even cops) want to chase me, I'm at least gonna make them work for it. ;o)

The cyclist had a bike lane to the right for the most part of the clip, the city put them there because cyclists are always complaining that their lives are at risk for not having designated bike lane, we put them in and they're still going to do whatever they want. Not all cyclists, mind you, but the majority I've seen think they can go from being a cyclist, to a pedestrian and then a vehicle all in a 2 block span. This would piss me off seeing that clear cycling zone they so badly needed for their safety and them still deciding to inconvenience everyone else. Phew... rant... over.
It wasn't a bike lane it was a shoulder but he definitely should have been riding on it he was being a complete ass holding everyone up mind you that's coming from a cyclist myself.

I have seen roadside parking and bus stops removed for the construction of bike lanes and constantly see cyclists on the road right beside the barricaded, protected bike lane and its like, what did they spend all the money for? I don't cycle myself (only motorbikes!) but my dad, a cyclist, told me that on the bike lanes there are lots of pebbles and dirt which makes it super slippery for the road bicycle's thin tyres and that's why he avoids them as much as possible.

If it's for exercise then the low rolling resistance carbon fiber ultra light weight bikes make absolutely no sense. If it's for commuting then the extremely fragile thin tires aren't practical.

I'm a cyclist. The law in almost every state says you have to ride as close to the curb as reasonably or safely possible I don't have any issues with drivers because I'm actually respectful and move over to let them pass when possible and don't take up the whole road like this asshole. He definitely could be way more courteous he's just looking for trouble.
in my opion from a cyclits point of view from the UK he has every right to be in the middle of the lane for safety as far as law goes however its also about being considerate to the drivers around you if it was me i woulda pull over to the side and waved cars past as i ride mainly mtb but sometimes need to rude the road to get where i want to ride and end up holding traffic up but pull in when i can as it is a country road

At least not worth my nerves. By the time I arrive to my destination I don't even remember if there was someone annoying on the road.

@@thepoisonkid2483 no not a cop. But I've lost a son. I'm the mom who got that kind of call. He wasn't killed riding a motorcycle but by a drunk driver. So when I see people doing that it hits a nerve because it can cost someone their life. And that is senseless (not in all cases) ..... And it irks me because some people in society think it's OK to demand all the privileges but don't want any personal accountability. And that's not how life works.... But all of us, 2 or 4 or more wheels, should take the rules seriously and follow them, because most of them are there to keep us alive, and injury free..... Part of being an adult is taking responsibility for one's actions. Simple as that. If I get a ticket for speeding, and I typically drive no more than 10 over (depending on where I am), then it's my fault. Accept the knock on the chin and keep it moving. But ultimately it gets me because I'm a mom who had to pick up those pieces. The person killed doesn't have to, its those left behind that do..... I hope this explains it.... And btw it was a very respectful question....
