Canonically, Echidna isn't described to look similar to Emilia. The author is extremely specific about character descriptions. Echidna's hair is white and Emilia's is silver just like Satella's. Echidna is human, too.
It's a small detail but it can easily mislead anime-onlies who don't know about it.

“Who the hell are you?” Fredericka appeared in Rem’s flashback several episodes ago. She was the one that said to Rem, “Why do you try so hard?”
Season 2 is where Re: Zero goes from being a anime to a masterpiece

30:40 I think early in season 1 when Subaru was studying using the children's folklore book either he or Ram mentions that The Witch of Envy killed the other witches so the sin archbishops may be representations of certain sins but they don't serve the witch of that sin.
If you pause the episode right at the end of Rem´s fight againts Gluttony you can see an image of a long haired Rem and Subaru happy with their two kids (the outcome that would´ve happened if Rem agreed to Subaru´s request to run away with him that is shown in a alternate universe spin-off novel).
Also, this isn´t mentioned in the anime, but in the story it´s mentioned that in many cities and towns for several years/decades there have been strange cases of people that appears with severe memory loss and people that is found in comatose state. That is because that people had an encounter with the white whale.
I appreciate your theorizing. This anime Is pretty deep lore wise, and given suabrus abilities to go back. Anything can happen.
One of the reasons I love this anime. I consider it the game of thrones of Isekai anime. In a good way.
Fun fact:that flash of white right after glutney chomps at rem, that was actually a family picture of rem and Subaru if they did actually leave legunika

I truly hope you guys watched Re:Zero Frozen Bond. It gives viewers a detailed background on Emilia and Puck! I think it’s very vital to millie and puck’s character development/storyline!
here's a bit of trivia about the beginning of episode 2, Subaru did that weird hand tap instead of a hand shake because he feels incredibly awkward around Crusch because she doesn't actually remember him and is just trying to act as if she does

The Witches are concerned to be gods among the priest scriptures. In others, the priests are only reflecting the witches base of the tomes they have left. Also, the witches are just beings with immense knowledge, power, and sin. You'll eventually know about the crimes from each of the witches.
Don't get Garfiel and Garfield mixed up. One is a big orange cat.

In the Re:Zero world, the Od is like the soul and the Od is where a persons memories are stored. The Od Laguna is like where all souls are stored or reborn and contains a history of everything. When Gluttony feeds, it feeds on the persons Od and Od Laguna (name and memories) which can either make the person fall into a deep sleep, wipe memories of them from other people or it can do both (name and memories both). Lye Batenkaitos, the Sin Archbishop of the Witch Cult, representing Gourmet... he's a real nasty one. Regulus Corneas, was a Sin Archbishop of the Witch Cult representing Greed, is more of a man baby child that thinks he is the most important thing in the universe. Regulus likes to hear himself talk way too much and hides- No, absolutely denies the fact that he just threw sand at your face...
So Od Laguna is like Akasha from Fate?
One thing, since satella is the witch if envy, who knows what she wants. but she isnt the witch of pride >.> so there is a separate entity there

The Rem simping was funny at first but it’s starting to get annoying when you interrupt important moments to excessively point out how much better Rem is over Emilia.
Yes season 2 of Re:Zero is particularly good for mystery and theorycrafting. So you should take time to figure what is going on.
