A lot of yall dont understand what witnessing violent sex/sex acts at a young age does to you
Not only that, but it’s worse when it’s your father
It changes your brain chemistry forever.

Doesn't matter your tramas don't grant you immunity to hurt other's
@@artificialintelligence0101 It doesn’t but it’s the reason why someone acts that way
People need to realize that sex with a minor isn’t his only crime, every single time he recorded his hookups without the other person’s consent was illegal as well. He’s fucked even if the Jules video isn’t on there
T H I S
He wont be charged for the minor part since the video shows Jules lying about her age. The recording part is what he's going down for, for sure.
Even one step further-prostitution is illegal there-so every recorded video is also a count, correct?
@@KPetty I didn’t even think about the prostitution aspect. I remember it being stated (I think by Nate) that some of them were sex workers, which would definitely add on to the charges. Nevada is the only state where it’s legal and it seems like the show is supposed to be set in California
That’s not the intrinsic one
"Nate did the correct thing" and "Nate should go to jail" are two views which should be seen together and correct.
He's an awful human being but in this scene no one can argue that his actions are incorrect. If Sam does decide to give him redemption, he has to do time for his crimes and then be redeemed.
Exactly. He needs to fix what he did with Tyler and do time in jail for both him and what he did to Maddy, otherwise there is no “redemption” (Although I don’t think that is where the character is going, I think he will become even more unhinged) but in this scene I was on Nate’s side 100%
@@Rosa01010101 he will get shot before he can be redeemed
There’s no such thing as redemption. Once damage is done there is no undoing it. Redemption is a lie
that is very black and white thinking...humans are hella complex beings. keep that in mind.@@YoureUgly3
Nate is entirely right. You can’t just blow up everyone’s life and get to walk away and be able to live your best life. And especially because in his drunk speech in episode 4, he blamed Nate for it all, but you had a choice to live your life but he bent to societal norms and blamed those around him like his wife and his children when the only person to blame is yourself and especially since Nate seems to be on this arc of redemption and finding himself and trying not to become his dad, this was the perfect way to end season 2
oh and pointing a gun at his ex is okay 😍 Like that was so ducked on so many levels no one is in the right end of story
@@flamesuper8438 Help me find the part where OP said that or the part where that had anything to do with his relationship with cal and their family problems please.

Cal now has son issues. 🤣
Nate is going to get crazier in season 3. The only thing kept him in control was maintaining his family reputation. Now that he has taken care of his dad himself. There is nothing to blackmail him to keep him threatened.
I hope he won't be "crazier" like Cassie.
Actually there are multiple things that could go wrong.. he still has to worry about his lies to the police coming to the surface.. and how he manipulated other people to lie to the police coming to the surface.. everyone he blackmailed can snitch on him still
@@justanobody5484 agreed
I think s3 is going to get very interesting, and I have a few theories. I think cassie is going to go through a bad case of addiction (of sorts) and somehow jules and rue will be very focused on her or will know about her surrounding life with the similar lifestyle theyre living. Rue is going to go sober with battles of sobriety and help the addicted Cassie, and they'll bond somehow (maybe). Jules will be like that eccentric weirdo that everyone loves and will be dealing with a lot of addictions also, i feel like the creators need to make a character that is a bit lively or fun or something, a comic relief, the show is tooooooo serious like omg lets get a laugh out there jeez. I feel like jules character can develop to the fun one that the audience can't wait to see more of along with maddy. I think Nate is going to blame himself and feel guilty his dad is in jail and going to try to seek comfort by being even more controlling towards his future partners and hookups and exes. And at the same time hating himself and believeing he will turn up just like his father when all he needs is a series of psycho analysis and treatments. I think s3 is going to focus a lot on characters like Rue and jules and their life more than the other main characters, as nate, Maddy, and cassie continue in their lives. I think cassie is going to go very crazy like Harley Quinn type of crazy (but not literally) and go through a downward spiral, maybe stripping and drug addiction and mental health issues (i can see that). Maddy is going to have a "finding herself moment" and will have the best life out of all of them like owning a business and partying and being a boss bitch or something. Nate is very complex and unpredictable. He's either gonna get a redemption arc or his voices in his head are gonna get louder. I hate him, but I feel bad for him at the same time bc he has moments where he shows hope. I think s3 he's gonna battle his demons and do some soul searching and battles between the good him and the bad him, which will be very interesting to spice up his character. Then, it will be too boring and repetitive. There needs to be character development or character changes even if he gets worse. I also think Cassie and Nate will continue hooking up if Cassie doesn't go through a downward spiral, and their relationship will be like Megan Fox and Dominic Monaghan in the 'I love the way you lie' mv or a couple is going to be that way maybe Maddy and nate again idk.
Almost nobody on this show has even ONE redeeming quality. Of course humans are flawed and make mistakes, but 99% of the characters on this show are complete POS-es without any decent qualities. The teenagers and adults both.
I enjoy watching this show because these POS make me feel better about myself in some small way. 👍

@@swagymicswagger Not a chance. The only time Cal ever showed remorse for his actions was when he was at a disadvantage. Like when Jules came up to him at the carnival. Cal was all humble and repentant because he knew Jules could have turned him into the police. Probably the only time I've ever felt sympathy for Nate. I can't imagine how nerve-wracking it was to live in your own house afraid of what your father could do to you. Nate is a terrible person, but we cannot forget or ignore the circumstances that made him this way. When he was raised by a mother who was glad he choked his SO and a father who carelessly left his sex videos around I don't see how he could have turned out either way.
But acknowledging his pain and defending him are two different things and some of you in the comments need help
Yeah. I'll feel better about judging Nate based on what he does next. He's a fictional character, so anything is possible. Realistically, though, I don't know. I spend my life, especially at times like these past two weeks (been listening to the news too much), walking the line between cynicism and hope for humanity. I assume the writers do too, but in the end, they'll go with whatever makes the story more compelling. He probably can't make up for what he put many characters (mostly Maddy) through, and that would honestly be the only satisfaction us viewers could hope for
Yeah, I don't see it
No one ever touched nate. He made that nightmare up himself.
His father might as well had had a secret stash of HP Lovecraft books and the result and responsibilities would be the same.
His dad didn't mess him up. He messed himself up very hard
@@androkguz Just about every branch of pedagogy would disagree with you, 11 year olds are very susceptible to trauma, and all children's parental figures are inevitable role models for the formative years. Even if Nate had a genetic predisposition to his antisocial behavior, it very, very rarely manifests at such a young age without the help of childhood traumas. Behavioral and abnormal psychologists both agree on that.
@@bernardsoul5186 but "childhood trauma" can be many things, just like the other comment said nate's father might as well had had of horror books and the result probably would be the same, nate was predisposed to be like this.
@@nl-ho4wm we don't know that the result would have been the same if he had read HP Lovecraft books. By saying that you're committing the fallacy known as hypothesis before fact. I read those books at a young age and Stephen King books too, and I don't feel the least bit traumatized. Just picture your dad putting young women in bondage and doing unspeakable things to them. Really picture it. Now imagine seeing those in your childhood home when you were 11. Got it? Ok, now tell me that wouldn't have turned you into a very different person.
I hope Cal gets to serve time for what he did 😩 Statutory rape isnt the only thing he did. He recorded without consent too 😭 What he did really messed up Nate 😭
Dont think the statutory part will apply since he asked for ages and they lied. The recording part without consent definitely will.
Jules said she was 22
Wait didn’t nate just say he did that to him at age 11?..
If they bring Jules in then they'll ask her what happened and she'll tell them it was consensual and that she lied or whatever and depending on what the laws are in her state, it'll determine whether or not he goes to jail. Also theres no proof that any of those people he recorded didnt give consent. They would have to go to each person individually and ask them
@arish_xo depends, some states and countries will still charge the adult with statutory rape even if the minor lied about their age.
This is the reason in the 1st season , opener. Rue is telling his story, “at the age of 12, Nate begins a strict workout schedule…..”he was scared to not be able to defend himself from his dad.

A college student being there isn't that weird. I mean why are you trying to push the idea of him being there to hookup? Maddy just walked up to him and flirted with him. He may tought that she was a graduate, who was over 18. I mean Alexa Demie was 28 in season 1. She definitely looks older than 16. So maybe he didn't thought it true, but she pushed him to have sex, and he just went with the flow.
Then second of all. Nate abused her and she still wanted him back. She texted him and tried to get back. And then worked out a plan to put Tyler in Jail so the Happy couple can be together again. Maybe she is not a villain but still a selfish bitch, who has no conscience.

I don't think he deserves a redemption arc, what I do think he deserves is to get as far away from his family and this town and live a quiet life and spend it trying to help ppl and being forced to feel the guilt for the pain he caused
Wow; if Nate's motivations went beyond revenge and were to deliver justice for all those who suffered from Cal and to protect people from becoming future victims, he has actually transcended to become a man and possibly a good man in the face of nearly impossible circumstances. It is also worth noting that once Cal is convicted, his business would be seized by the courts, and Nate would almost certainly lose that lucrative legacy which he had been seeking. So just maybe, Nate will be able to move forward as likely a forever angry man but at least a better one.

I agree.. nate did it out of revenge instead of justice.. so this isn't a redemption regarding his character/personality traits but rather a change for his future.. his football career and chances to take over his dad's business could be negatively impacted and he knows this

I hope Nate gets therapy and becomes a better person in season 3
Bruh nate said no one should know about Cals crimes for the sake of the company ??then he turned him in ????
Yeah ik that’s what I was thinking this show is kind of sloppy
No, he thought that protecting his father would keep the family from falling apart, but then realised that his dad still hated him as shown in the 4th episode. he realised cal wasnt worth protecting so he decided to turn him in and finally feel relief for what his father did to him.
@@arish_xo pretty sure he said he doesn’t care about what happens to his father but no one would want a house build by a pedo before taking that disc from Maddy. My english is bad i hope u can understand lol
@@hera2306 he lied about not caring. His father is the reason hes like that.
He didnt want people to know what he knew at a young age
OmG he looks like thanos😮
If there's an alternate scene when a young gunpowder turns over soldier boy to vought justice
I honestly see Jacob Elordi as Jason Todd with that gun
Why does everyone hate cal? I actually felt bad for him.
Most ppl feel both. Yea it's sad he coudnt be with the person he truly loves and had to repress his sexuality. But that gives him no right to destroy his family the way he did.
He raised his son with so much toxic masculinity that it turned him into a sociopath, exposed him to sexual antics when he was just a child, and he sleeps with minors the blames his own family for what he did in my opinion he’s the most fucked up character on the show even worse than Nate all around bad person
@@goku8621 he slept with one minor
@@thesaucegod3136 although I love jules, I think it was a bit wrong of her to lie about her age. It’s a bit two-sided on that point
Nate was the one that found Cal's tapes like...
Clark Kent vs Thanos 😂😂
bro take nate with him 🤦🏾♀️
Sooooo now can we find out what happened to the 3rd Jacobs brother?
this and the night that cal came home were the only times i felt for nate. in all honesty cal is the reason that nate is the way he is. (that obv doesnt excuse what he did). cal can rot in jail for all i care. cal pinning all his problems on nate made me so sad for him knowing he's the reason that he's like that is some bs.
Nate is entirely right here... even if I think he's a worse person than his dad
Calvin finally got what he deserved
They're both gonna end up behind bars. Having strong, masculine inmates be all over them just like they always dreamed about. 😂
I dont protect Cal but he deserved better when it comes to Derek and his young life. It really would be interesting if we got more Cal and Derek scenes in Season 3
Love it
What's the audio from?
Screw Nate and all but he did the right thing
Did he pull the gun out just to add more tension lol
I so Fuckin' hate Nate. He never takes responsibility for his actions. he always blames others. One thing about Cal that I'm sorry about is that when he was Nate's age, he was in love and couldn't experience his love for him, while Nate was able to experience every love he had but he always ruined everything. Cal will never be understood for this, I think he will suffer for his whole life and if he could have lived his love for him, I don't think he would have ever done what he did.
Enough with this Nate Redemption stupidity! The guy is evil! The most evil and toxic in the entire show, and this says a lot. No one else did what he did, to that degree (see Tyler). He doesn't need any redemption arc; what he needs is going to jail and perhaps, to Hell.
lol cute
Both Nate and Cal deserve jail
And maddy let's not forget her
@@andreealupu4991 And Rue lmao
He did the right thing
I think Nate should get his life in order by going to jail for the crimes he has done
I'm Interested how Season 3 Will Handel this Relationship between Son and Father.
i came here for 0:43
Probably the most disturbing scene after the one fckn jules was fckn nate
Was Nate abused by his dad? I think so. Where is the 3rd brother in the family portrait?
I don't know is he dead or away I don't know is he the youngest or the oldest we really need to know maybe is season 3 we find out because nates dad is is jail and nate tells what happened to that other brother or maybe he doesn't even know he is he ?
He was it’s heavily implied
@@sirnoname6943 ho he wasn't. He's clearly talking about how his dad's tapes affected him wich is still a lot of trauma.
Back in Nate's time they didn't call it abuse. So no
I just want Cal to see Derek again, now I’m doubting that will happen.
That's never going to happen. The guy making this show has no idea what to do with his character or the story, so he just writes edgy crap that never leads anywhere and is meant to shock you. The show sucks. I gave it a chance and it completely let me down. Waste of potential.
@@Space_Ghost_Hunter what. I mean I do think it’s someone edgy but the character arcs were most certainly planned
