- IN TRIBUTE TO THE NO`1 TED GROUP, CRAZY CAVAN: JOHN GROGAN
18TH FEBRUARY 1949 - 15TH FEBRUARY 2020
Cavan Grogan was the vocalist with Crazy Cavan and the Rhythm Rockers. He formed the band in 1964, quickly amassing a loyal following with their abrasive style of rock ‘n’ roll.
Considered by many as pioneers of the Teddy Boy culture revival in the UK, the Rhythm Rockers toured tirelessly over the past 50 years, performing shows and festivals around Europe. They confirmed Cavan’s death “with the deepest of sadness” at the weekend.
He will be missed by Teds all over the UK and Europe and the rest of the world.
The Shoes he left behind will never be filled, he will be remembered by thousands and thousands, of Teds ,Rockers, Rockabilly`s and all who followed his music......R.I.P

Happy carefree days. Rest easy .

As you could tell by my username. I’m related to him. He’s my grandad. And I promise. He’s rocking up in heaven 🥳✊🥺
I remember seeing your Grandad for the first time, i had already bought a few of his records, they were brilliant, and to finally meet the man himself was brilliant, he has left a legacy that will always be around, his spirit will always live on, through you and yours, look in the mirror, he is still here in you..
@@OldAgeTeddyboy 1st saw cav back in the lion n key in leytonstone back in about 76 77 rebel ed was djing it was like getting hooked on a drug and im still addicted rip cav
one of the best musician to perform in the entire history of mankind. Nobody is going to do concerts this wild and with an authentic Rock and Roll vibe
I heard about Crazy Cavan & The Rhythm Rockers in 1975. I was 23 years old.
Raggare and Rocker.
We were a member of The Rock'n Roll Society of Scandinavia. RRSS.
Our own rock club in Skien Norway. Every friday.
I was the Disk Jockey. Rock'n Roll and Rockabilly were mostly played.
But some 70 'up tempo sounds. I have to point out one song that was played a lot in the whole 70's in the Rock Club was Mungo Jerry: Gonna Bop Till I Drop.
Rune Halland who led RRSS was the one who had the first LP with CC ,.
Printed in Holland. Crazy Cavan And The Rhythm Rockers.
That record was played all late in the summer of 1975.
On that LP, it's just top rock'Roll / Rockabilly not a bad song.
Everything is just completely superior.
I have most LPs for CC today, But the one I play the most is their 1st Lp'n from Holland.
Who would talk about age at that time in 1975. It was unknown.
Then we are suddenly reminded that the years just disappear.
Our old heroes are leaving us. Hope they are gathered - There will be a nice bunch.
Nostalgia is something that comes with age.
And it suddenly dawns on some of us when we read about our old 'heroes' who have left us.
Thinking back to the 60's 70's and 80's. How wonderfully time it was.
Look at Europe now - But who knew the future in 1975.
We did not engage in politics at the time, but only old US cars and Rock'n Roll.
Maybe we should work a little harder to keep the joy of living and being safe.
Cavan Crogan you have given me much much pleasure you and the group.
I would not be too without.
And if there's only one thing I can take with me when they place me in the nursing home,
it's the 1st LP for CC.
Today I am almost 69 years old. But I'm been lucky.
So keep Rockin..
Regards
Dan.
Skien Norway..
They were one of the 70`s groups i saw many times, while they are still doing the gigs, its not something you think about, you think they will always be there..
The kings of TedRock RockABilly. Cheers from SoCal
Can't beat Crazy Cavan And The Rhythm Rockers
Teddy boy forever thank mister cavan 🎸🎙
The first time i saw him was in the 80´s in munich/ Germany. WOW it was fantastic. Rock n Roll will never die.
I last saw him in the 80`s, first saw him in 76..
Saw cavan live , only regret only twice. Sadly missed.
Un des plus grands groupe de rockabilly
I first Crazy Cavan And The Rhythm Rockers over 40 Year's Ago a friend of mine played them and I fell in love with them add some good times a good night out Crazy Cavan And The Rhythm Rockers Rock N Roll Rule okay .
I saw Cavan in the 70s for the first time, fantastic is what i said, there was an act on first he got booed of stage, there is nothing like being a Ted in the 70s listening to the best Ted band out there, still a Ted today..
I was lucky enough to see Gene Vincent in '63, and of course this reminds me of him.
The great thing about rockabilly is that it was created ' perfect ', there's no such thing as Progressive Rockabilly or Heavy Metal Rockabilly.. Once you start trying to be clever it ceases to be rockabilly.
First time I've heard this artist, very good music.
legend ,,,period thx cav for the good times
Merci pour ce moments de bonheur en écoutant 5:13 🎉 5:41 5:43 😮 ça, je l'ache pas la patte
