As for The dude on Jimin’s genuine “bovine” leather pants:
“The man featured on the pair of pants was celebrated American photographer Robert Mapplethorpe. Some of his more controversial projects included male and female nudes and a study of the gay male BDSM subculture in the 1960s-70s New York. Saw a couple comments answering the question about the pants but I just wanna add - the pictures on the pants are of Robert Mapplethorpe AND Sam Wagstaff! :) You can learn some cool queer history if you look into who they were. I really love that Jimin wears these pants in the MV and in this performance. Don't know what it means to him but I appreciate it either way 👏👏
