...about nothing sovietic :) it is a kind of summons, he wants 600 people to defend Warsaw in 1939. This is voice of Stefan Starzyński, mayor of Warsaw.

It was Blitzkrieg as you said. Polish soldiers fought outside of capital city. Germans broke the front and attacked Warsaw. Warsaw was defended mostly by civilians. It was against international law to arm civilians so Starzynski (Mayor of Warsaw) asked civilians during radio broadcast he need 600 healthy men ready to die for their city, 6000 people want to volounteer, I think they had rifles only for 1000 people. Starzynski was shot between 21 and 23 december in 1939 by Gestapo.
