WATERFALLS HEIGHT in perspective
Vložit
- čas přidán 28. 07. 2022
- The height of waterfalls can vary greatly from one to another, reaching astonishing heights such as Angel Falls in Venezuela. Others as well known as Niagara Falls and Victoria Falls seem small in comparison.
Note: There is no standard way to measure the height of a waterfall. Since there is no standard,
no ranking of a waterfall should be assumed because of its position in the list.
Additionally, in many cases, numbers are merely estimates and measures may be imprecise.
Single-fall waterfalls have been chosen, the total descent is not counted.

Hola
I mean, there are those 'pond waterfalls'.
doesn't count fully, but, imagine that....
kind of funny, and would be the smallest's in this World.
Timon: "Is it possible to fall off the edge of the Earth?"
Pumba: "The Earth is round like a sphere so it doesn't have an edge."
Metaballstudios: "Oh, really?"
¡Buen vídeo!
Sea creatures size comparison?
I appreciated the side-by-side comparison at the end, between Niagara & Angel Falls.
Yeah
..wait a minute.........
@@SomeRandomUserrr1r23. I don't get it
I grew up in western NY state and Niagara Falls was impressively tall. But compared to the ones at the end, nah...
Ayo
Wow, I never truly thought how large waterfalls can get
*tall. Many of these are quite pathetic otherwise, and they are simply tall.
@@VideoDotGoogleDotCom them being tall is the fascinating part
Vinnufallet in Norway is higher than the #1 in the video. 845 meter.
Venezuela 🇻🇪 and Norway 🇳🇴 both countries were blessed with lots of beautiful Waterfalls ❤️
us Norwegians do love our nature
But the other is not blessed in prosperity and economy
The popularity and notoriety of Niagara Falls seems to speak more of its location marketing and tourist infrastructure than the height of the falls themselves.
Niagra falls might not have the most stunning height, but it's one of the falls that carries the most water in the world. It's in the top 5, if I'm not wrong.
@@kotosqoposrly It's actually ranks 7th worldwide in terms of flow rate. The biggest beast is the Inga Falls in Congo -- almost 11 times the flow rate of Niagara. 😮
@@laythbarzangi8477 But Inga Falls aren't quite as spectacular as they're dispersed over a wide area. Niagara Falls, by contrast, is a massive curtain of water (or 2 curtains to be more precise).
It made for a nice comparison however 🤷♀️
Niagra Falls isnt about the height, its thevolume
Fun fact: "Salto del Angel" or "Angel Falls" was used as the end goal on the Up movie :D
Yee, although in the movie it's called Paradise Falls.
It's not "Salto DEL Angel", it's just Salto Angel. Angel was the last name of an US American explorer.
I entered only to see if the creator put the house on the top xd

THIS MEANS EARTH IS FLAT TAKE THAT RAPTOR EARTHERS #BOO #CONSPRIACY #IAMSTUPID #WHOEVERMAKESTHISHASHTAGISSTOOPID
okay im sorry
Superficially a waterfall is just Water dropping of a cliff or Down some rocks. Yet they look so mesmerising
And the sound is pleasant.
What's most impressive is the constant flow/cycle of water to keep them falling, imo.
At first I was worried I wasn't gonna see any Hawaiian waterfalls after they started getting really big but towards the end we have some of the biggest. I learned something new about my state today.
2:50 That part almost blew my mind...
Also, we're slowly getting closer to the updated spaceship size comparison....so excited!
you should do it by volume of water next. victoria falls and aguazu falls mesmerizes by the sheer ammount of water
They will be nothing compared to when the Niagara escarpment (the edge of the ancient seabed under the Great Lakes) finally erodes to Lake Erie. It erodes at .1 meters a year and has moved 11.4 km during the last 12,300 years.
that would be really cool actually
Iguaçu Falls also belong to Brazil, not only Argentina.
I remember the Angel Falls from the movie, “UP”
I've always loved your videos and animations, MBS.
Keep up the great work! Hey Dennis
I love the waterfalls! Those are so beautiful! 😍 I like the music too! So relaxing! 😌🧠
I really love how peaceful the waterfalls from Hawaii and Japan are 🤲🧡🧡
Awesome. Love how you through Niagara Falls in at the end...great perspective ❤️
Always impressive to see the side by side comparison. 👍
You do a great job to brings us these videos, thank you very much👋👋😃✨
Amazing video! Love where the content is going on this channel. Keep it up!
Love your videos and when you see things presented this way it catches you off guard at some of the sizes.
Always beautiful videos
Any waterfall: exist
Ángel falls: yo what's up!!
The work and knowledge you out in this videos is awesome.
An interesting and informative perspective ! Visual comparisons are powerful .
Another great video, thank you!
You're videos are always so good!
Also, Mosi-oa-Tunya (Smoke that Thunders) is the original name of "Victoria Falls".
Great video 😄
I love the tiny little Subscribe Airplane. 😁
Really impressive stuff!
I love the Niagara falls comparison at the end.
Woah never knew that there are waterfalls that are significanly larger than the niagara falls, keep up the good work MBS!
NIAGARA FALLS!
Slowly I turned, inch by inch, step by step...
(Someone had to)
Happy Friday metaball studios
Props to the cameraman for getting all these waterfalls in one field of view
I'm glad I swallowed before reading your comment. Cleaning Pepsi out of a keyboard is NOT easy.
I have been watching this channel for so long I have decided to subscribe. Congratulations 😁
I live in Argentina, a few kilometers from the Iguazu Falls, I thought they were huge and I realize that they are quite small omg
Niagara Falls, Iguazu Falls, and Victoria Falls are the widest waterfalls on Earth, but far from the tallest.
@@watchpointoh3354 In fact there are wider waterfalls on earth than those mentioned, in Laos and Venezuela, but those are not popular: The Khone Phapheng Falls in Laos and the Para Falls in Venezuela.
I thought Iguazu was in Brazil/Paraguai
@@brandonramostv1 its in brazil/arg
Cool! I've been to the Kukenaam tepui (flat mountain) and contemplated the waterfall from afar. They're quite impressive.
That sounds wow.
I ♥ this imagery! In my mind all these falls are perpetually in motion over an infinitely flat sea.
Relaxing background music, also watched this makes me want to drink fresh water.
So relaxing video ♥🌈 Cool
I'm looking forward to watching this
Thank you for adding ft. to the measurements
this is so fun to watch
Amazing!!!
I’ve been to a few of them and the volume of water is the most impressive part for me.
Had to have a glass of water with this video 💧😌 amazing how huge waterfalls can be
Love it! Crabtree Falls in Virginia. I believe should be in this video. Hope you can add it and notify me.
Thank you for making this. I've had the opportunity to witness Jog Falls in Karnataka, India. At 235m they're a sight to behold.
The video is very relaxing
You have done well
This comparison is very good considering that it isn’t too extreme like the temperature or universe age videos.
Yeah, those don't really put things into scale, just numbers
yeah it's a bit annoying when you have to measure with how many observable universes something is
Universe age one is awesome, hard to fathom but I love it
The biggest waterfall I've ever seen is a toilet flush.
"Hey you know those places where water falls down from a cliff or a steep hill?"
"Yeah, what about it?"
"What shall we call them?"
"Hmmm, a place where water falls down..."
Thank you.
great job
Wow amazing, do shortest to longest movies? Il help lol
I live so close to Niagara Falls and it's so impressive to see even way more larger Falls then the one I thought it was already big enough...
Huh. I just image searched Angel Falls and now I get what they were going for in Pixar’s Up.
Very cool! What render engine do you use? I've been curious for a while. I've been using Blender for a bit
Nice video.
I just added some sites here in the States to my Have To Visit list. Especially surprised by Hawaii!
As for international sites, I knew Norway was blessed with _fjords_ , but not monster waterfalls. Goodness, gracious!
Podrías hacerlo ahora en volúmen de agua de las cataratas... no lo sé, solo una sugestión... =)
Amazing
Muy buen vídeo
You've got good choices of music.
Excellent
Some of these, most notably Cerberus Falls, seem to have multiple segments, which you say weren't counted, so I'm confused.
Wow Norway is quite the country for waterfalls!
You just gave me an idea, waterfall documentary.
You should do a Fictional City Size Comparison.
This is poetry in motion
I especially like the part with the waterfalls.
Would be cool if you could name the towers in the video as well for comparison purposes
Jogini waterfall in India is 2.5 km in height. It is found in Manali and is the water source of the whole hill station.
It's beautiful scale with knowledge
"See Angel Falls" is now on my bucket list
A great , informative and enjoyable film ! oops , Sorry , now I gotta run to the bathroom !! lol
Can you do landslide comparison
Este es el video que buscaba ☠️
Do one of these two comparisons next:
1. Mountain Size Comparison
2. Probability in Perspective (1 in 1 odds are represented by a sphere that is 1 m in diameter, 1 in 2 odds are represented by a 50 cm wide sphere, 1 in 3 is 33 cm wide, 1 in 4 is 25 cm wide, 1 in 5 is 20 cm wide, 1 in 10 is 10 cm wide, 1 in 50 is 2 cm wide, 1 in 100 is 1 cm wide, 1 in 200 is 500 mm wide, 1 in 1000 is 1 mm wide, and so on. Oh, and don't put silly things like a "YOU" or standard deviation in there.)
Damn! Who knew water falls were so big
I like this chanel 👌
Iguazu falls also belong to Brazil and Uruguai. Its located in the frontier betweeten those 3 countries.
Apenas Brasil e Argentina, se você está falando da fronteira é com o paraguai e não Uruguai kkkkkk mas só pertence ao Brasil e Argentina
Here I am thinking for some time Niagara falls was very big
Angel falls: *hold my water*
I like how thw water looks
I'd have liked to see a full width version of the wide waterfalls here - surely not a huge stretch in video making time? Still a good video though.
Niagara is spectacular because it's an immense curtain of water. Niagara's volume of water (flow rate: 2,400 cubic meters/sec.) is 170 times as large as Angel Falls' (14 cubic meter/s)!
Niagara falls compared to burj Khalifa is like a water fountain in a park.
Vinnufossen/Vinnufallet in Norway is higher than the #1 in this video. 845 meter. Norway also have second longest coastline on the planet with over 240.000 islands.
Anyway. Great video as always.
This escalated fast
Iguazu Falls are in Argentina/Brazil
The Iguasul Falls are actually in Brazil and Argentina
Montmorency Falls, in Québec is 83m, 62% higher than Niagara. And you can cross it with a zipline.....
What an amazing video! But Iguazu Falls is located between Argentina and Brazil! 🇧🇷🇦🇷
I’ve been to Niagara Falls in real life, they are HUGE. I can’t imagine being at the last one.
Sea creatures size comparison?
Me dió mucha emoción ver este vídeo porque conocia el final 🇻🇪
Quick question, are u remaking ur spaceship size comparison at all?
The second tallest waterfall
(Tugela Falls) In The republic of South Africa.
The third would be (Tres Hermanas Falls) in Peru.
