I had heard a lot about Umred Karhandla Wildlife Sanctuary and finally decided to pay it a visit. It's a beautiful expanse of forest known as a rest stop for tigers, as it connects Nawegaon-Nagzira Tiger Reserve with Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve.
During our single safari in the forest, while driving early in the morning, we spotted a male tiger walking along the road at a considerable distance. This tiger was exceptionally shy, having been last seen the previous year. We made sure to maintain a safe distance and patiently waited for the tiger to become more comfortable with our presence.
After a few minutes, it cautiously emerged into the open, inspecting our jeep. It took a few steps toward us, then backed away before eventually leaving the scene.
