I’m a crazy fan of Depeche Mode since I’m 14 and I hate when someone covers one of their songs. Well, only Susan’s voice with her feelings and her version made me listen this gem to the very end. She feels it, she knows what she is singing about, she found the deep meaning in the lyrics and with her beautiful and astonishing voice (you hypnotise me, Susan) I enjoyed it very much. An extraordinary lady with an extraordinary song is deleightful to listen. I’d really love to see a video of her singing it, not only listen the audio. I was your fan before and you only confirm it with this. Wonderful woman!!

I am actually sincerely surprised at this. I was always happy for Susan but I never thought I'd find myself listening to her stuff- I just didnt think it was for me. This is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard from her, great cover. Good for her! Hauntingly beautiful

I thought it would be an "old lady" version, but is surprisingly fresh and different.
Susan's ability to interpret, to adapt her voice to the mood of the song and so bring out its message, is particularly evident here. Only a few singers have such an expressive ability.
This song is so beautiful and moving. I love every style Susan sings, but this song and Wild Horses touch me the most.
Another example of Susan's ability to go where few ever venture. I want more of this type of music! She is great and could dominate the industry again, should this be her primary expression of music.
I'm sure Martin is very proud of this; this song could be sung as a gospel - it's timeless, classic songwriting.
I'm a big fan of Depeche Mode, and this is quite an unusual version of the song. Her voice is very haunting and gives the song a new direction for the listener. Her rendition of Enjoy the Silence was enjoyable.

Everyone I know said she sounds 25 if that...It's amazing how her vocals sound so crystal clear and not muddy. She sings this with a hauntingly beautiful sound. This is also one of my very favorite Depeche Modes songs, and now Susan has made me love it again for a different reason. Thanks Susan.

One of my favorite songs of all time and Susan I have to say...You took an original and made it your own...soft and heart felt! BRAVO! Song writer Martin Gore and the brilliant lead singer Dave Gahan both of Depeche Mode would be VERY proud! Truthfully...I think this is how Martin wrote it from his heart slow-paced ballad. Congrats!

I heard this song playing while I was in a bookstore, I had no idea who was singing it, so I used one of my phone's music apps to identify it. Imagine my shock to discover this great song was being covered by Susan Boyle of all people! I thought it was Sarah Brightman at first w/o paying attention. So credit where credit is due. This is a great cover.

some great arrangements and an amazing voice .... nothing more to say, Susan Boyle is a great singer. I wonder what would have psad if I would have given the opportunity to begin his artistic career much before ... but things happen for a reason, and maybe it was so that Susan gave us a lesson about dreams and how we should not forget more of them that seem distant and unachievable.
