  • The idea of an Automower that does not use a boundary wire to define it's mowing are sounds like a great idea and like it would be much more reliable than a wired boundary system, right? Husqvarna currently HAS multiple models of Automowers that do not require a boundary wire and rely solely on GPS (RTK-GNSS) to determine their mowing area boundaries available in North America. These models are the 550 EPOS and 550H EPOS Automowers. If you are familiar with Husqvarna's model numbering system, then you know that a 500 model number means that it is a unit built for commercial use. That is the case with these 2 models of Automowers except that unlike other Husqvarna products built for commercial use, the EPOS Automowers are listed as for COMMERCIAL USE ONLY! But as more people become aware of the fact that the technology does exist, the more they think it is a great option for their lawn and do not realize that these machines have limitations that can cause even more headaches than an Automower that uses a boundary wire system. So, in this video we give a very simplified explanation and display of why Husqvarna has been so adamant about the EPOS Automowers being used for COMMERCIAL USE ONLY!
