I am a third generation Mexican American with multiple family members as retired vets. Plus my kids are Bi-Racial. How on earth could I vote a person who has no moral compass and craps on vets into office? He questions a persons race and cultural makeup which disgusts me to no end. When Trump says "Make America Great Again", which period in time is he referring to? I simply tire of all the whining and name calling, that's not presidential. I just want a president who represents this land I love, America, not he ilk of society. Vote anyone but Trump.

It is my belief that, at a fundamental level, we all recognize the era he deemed "Great." In my view, this refers to the period prior to the 1960s Civil Rights Movement. If he had his way, he would envision a predominantly White United States, with the rest of us relegated to subservience. Despite his attempts to appeal to minorities and Christians, I remain unconvinced by his rhetoric. His interest in these groups appears superficial, as he primarily seeks their votes. Furthermore, he exhibits a complete lack of respect for the military. During his presidency, he expressed a desire for all branches of the military to march before the Capitol and salute him, reminiscent of the displays seen in the countries of his close associates, such as Xi Jinping, Kim Jong-un, and Vladimir Putin. To me, the notion of Making America Great Again signifies the necessity of holding that 34-count felon accountable for his egregious actions. Such accountability would genuinely foster justice and help to resolve the current divisions within our society.
Even members of the Republican Party are expressing their dissatisfaction with him. It is imperative that we all participate in the electoral process. Let us support Harris/Walz in 2024. This will provide Republicans the chance to reclaim their party from the detrimental influence of Trump. To me, that would be what embodies the true essence of

When neither side listens to the other, apart from to mock and belittle, then your country moves further and further apart. You may fully disagree with the other candidate, maybe even with their policies, but to ignore the opposition's supporters, and their needs and worries, leads to a less tolerant country. For a country that values free speech and the idea that anyone can make it, it is disgusting to ignore other fellow humans as if they didn't exist. Only through civilised discourse, where ideas are given the opportunity to be voiced and studied under the light of reason and pragmatism, can the best course for all be charted. This is one of the principles of democracy. Therefore do not ignore the MAGA supporters and treat them as if they do not exist. You only feed the demagogues and make the situation worse, much like ignoring a cancerous tumour.

I'm in favor of getting rid of the electoral college, but you should know that it isn't as consequential as a lot of people swear it is. From 1900 on, the popular vote and electoral college differed in the following elections:
2000: Gore (D) received 48.4% of the vote, Bush (R) received 47.9%
2016: Clinton (D) received 48.2% of the vote, Trump (R) received 46.1%
That's all of 'em. Bush's victory was on a razor's edge (0.5% of the popular vote) , so one can't even say that the electoral college was to blame. Might as well have flipped a coin.
2016 was an anomaly. And had Clinton not botched her campaign and messaging in so many states, the outcome could have been different. In my opinion, the Democratic establishment and liberal elites were just so fixated on getting HER into office that they lost the plot. She just HAD to have it. But the Democrats failed to read the room. What, did people really want Bush, Clinton, Bush, (Obama "palette cleanser"), Clinton? That's nearly dynastic succession! Consider the public's enthusiasm for Obama (let alone Harris, but I didn't use that as the example because Trump wasn't a threat then) versus Clinton. Is there really NO ONE ELSE who could have driven more people to turn out?
Anyway, there's unlikely to be any issues with the electoral college (I presume by 'criminal interference' you're talking about 'electoral college' meaning "when they actually get together and count the votes" (?)). If there were a popular vote, representatives would still meet in congress to report the results from their respective states, as states conduct their own elections. More concerning is voter suppression efforts in various Republican strongholds. I'm not even sure right now if Republicans or Democrats overall have the advantage from gerrymandering (both parties do it).
If you want to be worried about something, IMHO you should worry about people not appreciating what's on the line. Plenty of people don't follow politics AT ALL, and they may not even be aware of the issues which give us seemingly interminable agita.
