    Hello,
    Did you have to pay administration fee to immigration department for everyone or just spouse? I read kid may be exempt and Work Permit holder do not have to pay as it's already covered during WP process.

      In our case, it was paid by the employer and we just submitted the proof of payment. But yes, it was only for my wife.

      It totally depends on embassy!! But generally its almost 99% chance to get visa if your single permit is approved

      It was not asked for parents in our case. For baby, it was needed. Also, in our commune, they asked for translation of marriage certificate and birth certificate of my son as well.

    Sir my fiance is in Belgium with work permit
    We are getting married in april then i will get marriage certificate
    You have said in this video that marriage certificate should be 6 months old
    So that means i cannot apply for dependent visa immediately after marriage?

      If you are getting married and applying for the permit immediately then it should not be a problem however people who are married from long and want to register it, there it plays a role.

      Hi, as far as we know it takes at least 5 years of continuous work permit to apply for permanent residency.

      It depends from which region you are applying. It takes from 3 to 6 months in Flanders. You should check with your employer.

      D visa is long term visa and for that they need either job contract or in case of study, offer letter from college/University.

      There were no different types at our time. Its just appostille for schengen countries

      Hi, If its Indian marriage certificate, you just need to apostille it and it will work.

      My HR had dropped me an email stating : "a recent original (less than 6months) extract of marriage certificate is required .
      I am confused how to extract another original copy of my marriage certificate again . Already I have 2 original copy of my marriage certificate with me .

      Its actually this way in Belgium but generally for Indian marriage certificate, it should be appostilled within 6 months. You can ask your HR for better understanding.

    @creativelypooja - Is it mandatory to get the 6 months old Copy of Marrige Certifcate for appostille ? Normally Marrige Certificates are issued post marriage and haven't heard to get a latest copy for appostille. Please clarify. It's urgent.

      As per our experience, there is no such rule to get any document apostille.

      Generally they ask for 90 days of insurance and then you have to take insurance after coming here. It depends on case to case basis.

      Thank you for reply. I also have question regarding address in my passport. The address mentioned in my passport is different from where I am staying (my permanent residence that is adhar card address). Would this cause a problem during the visa process ? And what address should I put while filling up the form ?

      Generally every international document needs address of your passport but it also depends on the requirement from VFS.

    Hi, my work permit application is in progress, and I understand that it will get approved within 2-3 weeks and then it will take another 3 months for the residence permit to be approved. Is my understanding correct? Can you please confirm? Its a type d visa

      It depends on the region you applied however generally it takes 6-8 weeks for 1st approval and then another 6-8 weeks for resident approval. Then after you get both the approvals, you can go for D visa application which takes a week to 10 days after application.

    I have one question, if we plan to travel in January how long prior to travel date i need to apply for the visa D?
    Secondly, once i get the visa, is it true that its valid for 6months and within that 6months i will have to enter Belgium?

      Generally visa processing time is around 10 to 15 days. And if you are applying visa D with single permit, the primary applicant gets 1 year visa to enter Belgium and register themselves to get local ID.

      In that case it will take more time. As when you apply dependent visa when primary applicant is already in Belgium, they send your file to Belgium. In some cases it takes upto 6 months to process the visa.

      You just need to get the original birth certificate apositilled, it can be old as well.
