    Thanks Bianca - we went to Asahikawa in February and your video was so helpful in helping us plan! We've just uploaded our first video from there if you're interested in seeing what the snow sculptures this year looked like! :-)

    Hey Bianca. Great video. Really enjoyed it. I know you published on Jan 3, but when did you actually attend the zoo at Asahikawa?

    • @BiancaValerio
      @BiancaValerio  Před 5 lety

      Scott Borresen thanks Scott! This was taken during the snow festival season in Asahikawa in mid-Feb but I’ve also been mid-March and it was just as good ... But no more snow festival and just the zoo ☺️

      @@BiancaValerio Thanks Bianca. I was just curious as the crowds at the zoo seemed quite large. I am going to be there on January 2, 2020, and was wondering if that was what I should expect :). Thanks for your reply.

      @BiancaValerio  Před 5 lety

      Scott Borresen There is a tour for the zoo + festival, I believe so it’s like hitting 2 birds with one stone - hence the crowds (I presume).
      To be honest this crowd is NOTHING compared to Sapporo or Otaru.
      Slowly people who’ve already visited those festivals are branching out and Asahikawa is one of them due to its proximity to Sapporo.
      That’s why I prefer traveling to desolate places in Japan.

    HI BIANCA, THANK U FOR this video. we r planning to go to sapporo this feb 2020, did u get ur htel too in asahikawa? or u just travel there on day trip? salamat--yna

    • @BiancaValerio
      @BiancaValerio  Před 5 lety

      Davidyna Hello Yna, both times I've stayed in Asahikawa but it's cuz my trips are usually 2 weeks at a time and I travel all over the country a city or prefecture at a time.
      You can stay in Sapporo then do a day trip as many do since there's more to do in Sapporo when you're done with your activities in Asahikawa ☺ Either way is okay!
      However, hotels in Asahikawa are cheaper of course. The JR Inn at the Asahikawa station is super new, modern, convenient and affordable. I've stayed there once and another time at Asahikawa Grand Hotel ☺

      Michelle not sure if I got to reply to you, but it varies every year so best to research their calendar. Easy to search.
      But this was around mid-Feb ☺️
