Baba Sardar Mohammad has a sharp & keen memory of his past life in Awadaan!
It's presently spelled Abadan!
He's 100% right, only the ones that took part in the ghastly trek, they are the ones that truly suffered the consequences of the Partition!!
During the Partition, mostly Sikhs & Muslims lost countless lives, the atrocities were unspeakable & unimaginable !!
Blame lies with the governing idiots & the British Raj !!
Folks like Baba Sardar Mohammad didn't want to leave, neither did my forebears , who were forced to leave their livelihoods from 90 Chak in West Punjab & settled in Chitti, but was allotted land in Abadan !!
Abadan is now a bustling little village, unfortunately most of the forebears are gone !! And most of their families are settled in foreign destinations, such as Canada, US, England, Australia & so forth !!
Our elder forebears are no longer with us, but it would have been awesome if Baba Sardar Mohammad met his counterparts in Abadan!!
