absolutely love the cruel yet forgiving nature of exanima, I got trapped in a bathroom stall by a group of fully armoured zombies on floor 3, and the troll came to my rescue and killed them all for me!!
It really helps in hell mode if you put aside your pride and do anything to win. Cheese the magic and abuse the mechanics rather then just fight the enemies head on.
There's usually a good one in level 2 armory... just in time for killing that double flail guy. Or you could get the two-handed sword from catacombs, upgrade it a bit and have the best of both worlds.

But man! 1) you can close doors and they won't let through which surely you know about But forget doing x) 2) if you're facing 2 use one of them as a shield 3) 14:50 Getting flanked and despise it still trying to hit a guy with crazy reach. 14:52 BOINK Man! Concentrate! Although what happened afterwards lasted long and was nice, some crazy lucky hits.. (I'm gonna be your least favorite viewer, constantly bitching about something). PS If you haven't seen them check out Konrax's HM vids. He makes this game look kinda boring. That's the high lvl I don't want you to have x)
The only guy I saw beating this shi* was Konrax. But there are some russian dudes out there with some cool videos. By the way, I saw them having more chances with that Pole Axe some skeletons in this level have.
Two-handed sword nothing to be excited about? I beat this whole mod with a two-handed sword. It takes only a couple stabs to the face or armpits to kill those big armored guys of levels 2 and 3. Hell, I killed that "Judge" guy from lvl2 without taking any red health damage with a two handed spear.
Odin. *edit* COVER YOUR FREAKING HANDS! Bare hands are a HUGE problem even at the beginning, a rusty hand saw will gibe you red dmg, razor sharp blades from this lvl should chop your hand off CLEAN. *edit* Well.. Odin! ;) Skeleton fight in the room. Spear and shield being the worst combination for a guy wearing no helmet, with big unarmoured areas and flesh? Come on. 1-2 well timed stabs after feints and they're DONE. And why don't you use furniture? Huge, brassy Xs, shelves, benches, chairs. It's super easy to make your enemy trip over it. 10:02 Hell, you can even make a freaking barricade. I get it - you try to make things interesting, but your fighting style is NOT interesting. It lacks strategy and finesse. I'm not sure if you're familiar with content made by Gilgames for instance, or SRG 'Da Danca' but the techniques they present and even teach how to do would be an amazing addition to your outstanding work. And rather than depending on enemies to fight each other - you've got total freedom to create a space which allows you to duel them on your terms. Big guy, big weapon? Grapple the fuck outta him with shield and mace/axe, shield bash, shield-wrestle, squeeze him into a wall? No? Okay, you want to use voulge or a bardiche, but if they're to close - disengage! Recharge your stamina! No shame in that! Do a little cut in the video and boom 💥 (I mean if you don't edit your vids in any way before posting it's a "never mind") You keep getting red damage pointlessly and then you're out of salves, and keep repeating the same level in a very similar way. That couple minutes of madness 3/4 in 😂 you nearly got mutilated and survived by the skin of your teeth so many times in a row.

This part of the level makes me wish that the light source at the "centre" is brighter. It's a bit difficult to see at times.

May I suggest playing Hellmode practice? It's quite fun and a good way to experiment with fighting common hellmode enemies with different weapons.

You should really try to use confuse or enrage or something on sir. In the notes the guy says it did something so maybe it would work.
I did beat hell mod like 3 time's and than I got bored of it I killed so many things the game was amazing now I'm just waiting for a big update
