He has THE most perfect side profile I have ever seen omg
This guy would be a kickass Quasimodo!
Rob is just amazing! He sings this wonderfully and I do think that he is very similar to Aaron Tveit which is definitely a huge compliment because both Aaron and Rob are stupidly talented!!
He's left Les Mis so I thought it would be fitting to listen to this... I'VE NEVER CRIED SO MUCH IN MY LIFE
Madeleine Brown he me back for the anniversary concert in London this year
Talent oozes out of every pore in his body never tire of listening to Rob sing
still shaking, STUNNING.. speechless! i would marry him like right now!!
Mr Houchen is so freaking awesome, love his voice
Plz cast Rob Houchen in every musical there is
Thank you
I don't know if it's the song or just me, but even though he has a totally different voice than Aaron's, I mean like a deeper voice, sometimes I think he resembles Aaron's voice. Just in certain parts but maybe it's just me. Anyway, he sings incredible :D
That high note is high...im singing along and that's the one I struggle with...might try this at concert maybe...very nice voice saw him as Marius...was awesome although they do love a bit of vibrato x
Meaning Rob Houchen has a strong vibrato or Doesnt?
Rob is just amazing!
That last goodbye, though.
3:03 he messed up the lyrics and improv'd new ones, and at 3:07 he switched the lyrics and made it work, what a legend
I'm kind of a little bit totally obsessed with his voice at the moment.
For all those who haven't seen a show live the REALLY do sound this good! Rob Houchen is such a phenomenal performer he was superb in Les Mis and even off stage he is so lovely and such a genuine person, I love his voice and hope to see him in other things soon :)
Amazing performance!! I adore Rob; he is so ridiculously talented! And these videos are, as always, beautifully shot and edited! x
A seriously stunning vocal performance!
Wow 👌 I've had this on repeat
So talented!!! :D xxx
I can't get over how much he looks like Aaron Tveit. Like even just some of the faces he makes and little things he does while he's singing, it's crazy.
I wonder if this hurts his career. At every audition, the reaction is, "Wow. He looks like Aaron."
Great voice :)
Brilliant! :) xx
He has a deeper voice than Aaron but they have the same jawline hahaha. And also, he has Eddie Redmayne hair - did I already mention that?
Lara he literally looks like the love child on eddie redmayne and Aaron LOL
Dana Chambers Aw yessss
best rendition
WOW!!!!
Absolutely Fantastic! ~_~
Rob is so cute and his personality is so ah perfect
I would love a West End version of Heathers, and I would love to see Rob as JD! Carrie Hope Fletcher has resently proved she'd make an awesome Veronica and aren't both of them leaving Les Mis this spring? ;D Wheather or not my dream of a proffessional Heathers show comes true, I seriously need Rob Houchen to cover "Meant to be yours" ;)
AGREED
Omg that was literally exactly what I was about to say 😂
yes please omfg
Wow you called Carrie as Veronica two years ago? NICE
very well performed.. i enjoyed it
this is brilliant but i have never noticed how much he looks like Aaron, and maybe it's just this song but wow he looks like Aaron here.
I noticed that too when the camera is in front of him. Maybe the hair added to his look.
I figured it out, he looks like a love child between Aaron and Eddie Redmayne
Holy shit. What a beautiful man
Yes! If Aaron and Eddie had a son together, it would be him XD
Google Sam Golbach he also looks like him
Amazing! So talented (:
i loved it!!
Amazing!
Awesome! :)
I love this song!!!!
😘😍👏👏👏👏👏
Does anyone else admire the vocals but find it emotionally empty? Or only half filled?
This guy actually looks like Aaron Tveit...amazing performance
This is so beautiful
This was amazing! Rob just gets more and more talented each time I hear him!
i think probably half of the views on this are me
hi, me again 3 years later. they're still me
LMAO
The chords for a lot of this song are the chords for Faithfully
I LOVE YOUUU
if I'm being honest, it's a little too much vibrato for my taste. But other than that, phenomenal performance.
LITTERALLY WHAT I WAS ABOUT TO SAY
I agree, there's vibrato on short phrases where it should be straight-toned. makes it feel like it's being oversung
Juan Ayala vibrato doesn’t mean over singing. Some people have it some don’t. Sometimes you just have a legit voice and thats all there is to it. Contemporary singers are so afraid of vibrato bc they think they’ll sound classical. Its a dumb fear. Vibrato is a good thing when its not wobbly
Agreed!
I didn’t even notice that until near the end of the song. I think the vibrato fits well with his own timbre for most of the piece, but because this is a musical theatre piece, he could’ve straight-toned some more in the held notes..
Does anyone know the vocal range of this song??
Lewis Kerr Db3 to Bb4...almost 2 octaves!
Not to mention the entire thing is in chest, or at the very least a chest dominant mix
everyone's saying that he looks exactly like aaron, and i've gotta say, *it's probably the t-shirt.*
does it only bother me that he said 'im tired of living on the page, a life thats only on the stage'?
He looks and sounds exactly like Aaron.. haha
I think he has an amazing technique and sings really really really well, but I feel absolutely nothing. You know? As Marius, he made me cry and gave me shivers, or Carrie's performance of "Pulled" gave me shivers through and through but... ugh. Sorry, Rob, sorry. ...
does anyone know what key this is in??? :)
xlegion115x Original key, so A-flat Major :)
xlegion115x And, modulating to B-flat Major at the End
Rob is perfect :3 (like Aaron's version is better but Rob man...)
Mixed up the lyrics a bit...
I'm not a fan of the song choice for him. Beautiful voice but this song does not fit his voice at all. This song is from a "rock" musical and his voice is way too classical. Good job just not what I like personally.
If he would quit shaking his jaw to make that fake vibrato, this would be an amazing performance. Very well done except for that.
Got a bit of word jumbling happening, but otherwise good job!
It is technically sung well, but that is all he is doing here, singing it. I've seen him as Marius and he gives an amazing performance there, but he doesn't really perform the song.
+Courtney Budd yeah, but even in a musical theatre concert you should act your song...
Better than Aaron . . .
Not a chance.
nope
EXCUSE ME
HOW? mate
