- In Farming Britain #3 we travel from Cornwall to the Cairngorms National Park. Ex Love Island contestant, Ollie Williams is getting stuck in and learning how to farm his family's estate. One of the big issues we touch on is the disease neosporosis, which cows pick up from dog poo left on the grazing fields. Ollie's farm manager Matt Burgess tells us they lost more than 30 animals last year because of the parasite carried in the dog poo. Meanwhile, in Scotland, we are on a road-trip in Sutherland, where Niall Rowantree is reinvigorating a croft he bought 12 months ago. Since we filmed him in August 2023, he has acquired Viking cattle - Shetlands - and a blind bull called Gregor. Further south, in the Cairngorms National Park, locals including Ruaraidh Ormiston say they have had enough of being ignored, and the introduction of beavers down river is the last straw. Plus we hear about a bygone age when farmers hand-clipped sheep in the Scottish Hills. Farmer John Macpherson has footage from his old VHS video camera from a busy day shearing 800 sheep on what is now BrewDog's Kinrara estate.

Interesting update in regard of poultry, prime example, as to how insidious our government is.
Great video thank you
Thanks Richard 👍🏻 😊 Happy Easter. David
We are bereft, if we don’t treat our farmers with greater respect.
Brilliant watch as always, keep up the good work. Best wishes, Tony.
Many thanks! David
Thank you David.
I do keep expecting David to finish his news section with the same sign out as on Fieldsports Britain.
Another good program. Hope the subscription numbers improve.
😂😂..D
Excellent viewing. Can someone kindly inform this Kiwi girl about the public access through farmland in Britain? I recall hearing about it at the time and thought bugger that! Do folk have to stick to certain pathways or do they have free reign? Whichever, I can see it becoming a nightmare when the famine kicks in! Perhaps that was part of WEF's plan.
How big is the family Estate ? Amazed that that rotary parlour was uneconomical. 😮
Great video David.😊
Thank you - Happy Easter!
I used to spend hours in that parlour servicing it on Olly’s farm.
oh my goodness - not much fun seeing it like that then?
@@FarmingBritainOfficial no it’s a really shame to she like that because it used to be an amazing parlour in its day one off the best around.
Link to Farming CZcams?
Can't for the life of me find a link to Richard at Heady's Farm'??
Any help much appreciated

It's awful for the animals and farmers, this whole damn country is now dog poo central of the world I think, our street is so bad that my grandchildren - aged 2 & 4 - and I have to walk on the road instead of the pavement where all the shit is :-(
Sure I've seen the cast of this show on another CZcams channel 😂
Think olly has been watching too much Yellowstone
I commented before he even mentioned Yellowstone 😂
