That riff is so good. Courtney's vocals are incredible as always. I wish we could hear Josh doing some more harmonies with with her though. I know he's there in some spots but it's pushed into the background a lot of the time and I'd like to hear him more. I'm hoping they have some of that on the EP.
I think it would ruin spiritbox's signature sound. It would sound too much like as I lay dying if he threw down vocals. Just let it be. If you want to hear his vocals listen to as I lay dying's last album.

Spiritbox has always changed it up as they see fit and I hope they keep him and let him add his own spice to some songs; I think he has good chemistry with the band.
There's a live version from a show recently and you can hear his harmonies.

This is a top 5 spiritbox track. One of my favorite bands right now. Now they do different track from time to time but this should be their signature sound that sums up what the band is about.

Ever since I found Spiritbox a bit over 2 years ago, I absolutely fell in love with them. And it's crazy to think that this was born from a husband and wife duo.

I found Spiritbox because of Nik WAY back when his reaction to Circle with Me came out, and they've been my favorite band since. Their music has gotten me through a lot of tough times, and in a way I owe that all to Nik! So I guess this dumb little comment that will get lost amongst the others is to thank Nik on behalf of all of us for being the one that brings so much music to the forefront that we wouldn't have otherwise heard! So, thanks man :)

Nik's reaction to the Holy Roller video is also how I (think) I found them. I remember thinking "no fuckin way SHE's the one screaming this" and he immediately said something like "daaaaamn, courtney, chill out" and i was like "oh... nevermind" and I've loved them ever since LOL
(in retrospect, I think I'd heard Perennial in passing on a Discover Weekly playlist the year before, but it never stuck/I never looked into the band more)
I know a lot of people miss their old style and musical structures, but I really love this new era of them. Some of the formulas might be simple but they hit HARD. It just gets to you. To me this is tied with Circle with Me as their best song
I definitely miss the old style.

Spiritbox is so sick, and it just keeps getting better and better. Like Courtney's vocals are getting better somehow, just when you think she couldn't get any better, but then the instrumentals are going ham on this too.
I don't think there is a Spiritbox song out there that I wouldn't like. Courtney's voice is both powerful and extremely gentle and melodic. Each song I hear just blows me away. ❤
That solo was actually fckn amazing
I love how Nik understands how overly saturated the music reaction scene has become, so he justs does his own thing when listening to a new song for the first time, incorporating his own talent into the reaction, trying to figure out the guitar riffs and chord progression by ear, even throwing his own improvised guitar solos. Even if he messes up, it's part of the video because it's his own learning experience captured on camera, which makes it 100% stand out from the rest reactors
What Spiritbox does so well and what so many bands fail to do is hammer home that money riff. Keep bringing it back man.
It's impossible not to love Courtney's voice, it's so refreshing and deep at the same time.

I love this so much I've had it on repeat non stop there's been a lot of great songs this year but this one is definitely up there, this is a classic Spiritbox song that chorus is amazing the guitar was incredible too.

Genuinely, the best part of these types of videos is ones like these.
Songs that grab Nik in such a way you can tell how much he loves music and playing guitar.
It's here where it's a very literal definition of: he's not just remembering guitar or learning guitar, he's literally playing with his guitar and letting that creativity flow in a natural and truly organic way.
It's.. amazing to see.
Music needs more of it, and I'm so happy he's embraced that part of himself.
